Why is there a second apron when teams are paying out insane amounts of money for players to go away?

Just keep a standard luxury tax and the tax payer MLE. Whoever has the cash to play with the big dogs shouldn't be hindered.

Is she mad that her nemesis is dating Klay? Weirdo.

it's an interesting choice. he could pick any team now and go to them without them losing anything and compete for a championship but he would just rather go home and play for a team that is unlikely to ever be that good before he retires.

I feel bad for their fans. They gave up everything for absolutely nothing. Luckily Booker loves being in Phoenix otherwise it would get even worse.

Houston will learn their lesson next. Durant is a toxic presence.

He likes it here :naaa:

Also, his kids are here post divorce and his ex-wife didn't want to relocate. That and he still has a dealership + a bunch of other ventures in Portland. I don't think he ever actually wanted to leave.

As soon as the Bucks cut him I knew he'd be back if the team would have him and had some cash. I'm thrilled, as long as they don't move the team to Vegas or something.

i get the family thing. but he could be in portland all this year rehabbing and maybe just spend the next 1 or 2 years after contending. he was given a gift where he could decide where he wanted to play and not worry about the contract. or did he do this partially because they also offered the most money ?

Maybe a little of both. Portland was probably the only team willing to pay him _this_ season since nobody, and I mean NOBODY, ever comes here in free agency. So the overall dollar amount was highest here plus it's where he wants to be.

Like I said, good work if you can find it.

I tried. Truly. I can't spin this **** in any direction. It's a weak move for someone who wanted to have his cake and eat it, too.

Lillard tapping out and going home. His one shot left at a title is over. He just wants to play in Portland and finish his career without a chip. Sad. Probably gonna want to coach there one day.

He was... not forced but pushed out. The team wanted to rebuild, did rebuild, and now is bringing him back. This is a great story and all of PDX is about to be drunk and happy as hell this weekend.
