The Texans and the Browns really **** the other 30 teams by setting precedent and now the rest are drawing the line in the sand

The 49ers signed their 2nd round pick last night(#43 overall), hopefully this helps break the log jam and gets some of these 2nd round guys to sign like Belton

Seeing the on/off numbers with and without Jaire dumped a lot of cold water on my owl dreams this year. Unless they see something in Hobbs no one else sees

The only on/off they decided mattered was the field. They're going to be just fine without him.

I think you’re missing the point. They gave up almost 5 more points per game without him and they didn’t replace him. It’s not just losing Jaire in a vacuum, it’s ignoring the position afterwards.

I could be wrong. Someone like Rasul turned out to be more than JAG. Just not seeing it with Hobbs and having your returner starting at corner is barf worthy.

The bigger problem was completely ignoring pass rush before day 3 imo. I think the CB room will be good enough with one major caveat being health. It is way too thin to overcome any serious injuries. Gute also has a long track record of proving he knows what he’s doing with the defensive back room, so I think Hobbs is going to be good.

I mean they gave Hobbs that contract to replace Jaire. He's starting

It's worth looking at the games Jaire played in vs sat out. He missed both Vikings games & both Lions games. He played against the Eagles, Colts, Titans, Cardinals, Texans, Jaguars, & Bears. Not exactly juggernaut teams

Packers sold more beer on the first night of the draft than KC and Detroit did for all three of their days of the draft combine.

No matter what Wisconsin will always win at drinking. Lol

Belton, the No. 54 overall selection, inked his name on the dotted line for his rookie contract. The deal is worth $8.016 million dollars and 72.95 percent of it is guaranteed—a significant, 11-point increase from last year’s 61.95 percent for the No. 54 overall pick, defensive tackle Michael Hall of the Cleveland Browns. That means Belton’s contract featured $5.85 million dollars in guaranteed money.

Thanks. Let's hope he actually contributes before long

In 3 or 4 years all of the 2nd round picks will have fully guaranteed contracts.

Without looking up Tackles salaries throughout the league seems like a very reasonable deal for one of the better Tackles in the league

It's borderline cheap - nice work Gutey!!!

Sewell averaging 28 mil / year. If this is an extension which includes this year could be even more favorable.

Places him at 10th on average
