I just saw that the 2027 draft class is projected to be crap. We have our own pick in 26 with a supposedly super draft class I think and don't have our pick in 2027. That works out well.

We owe an unprotected swap in 2026.

And it would take a disaster for the swap to happen.

Or Utah having a good year. I don’t know, stranger things could happen.

If Boston gets the #1 pick I will start to believe in Lottery rigging. Not really, but it would give me pause. :o

Literally the only way I see the swap happening is if we have enough injuries to miss the Playoffs and then move up past Utah in the lottery.

Portland won a ton of games last year when everyone thought they were tanking. I doubt Utah is good, I don’t think it is likely. I am just saying crazy stuff happens. Though you are probably correct.

This is honestly the biggest annoyance I have when people talk about the trade.

The pick swap only matters for us if we end up worse than Utah. I'm sorry, I just don't see that happening. Utah has not made any progress in their rebuilding project.

No. No chance.

A 36-46 record is a ton of games? If that's their upside (which honestly might even be generous), that's exactly what I am talking about. So basically, Utah's lone chance is hoping that we miss the playoffs and end up with the 13th or 14th lottery position and then jump up to the top four. That's their only hope for executing the pick swap.

With Damian Lillard being off of the table, I wonder who #14 is going to end up being. Malcolm Brogdon is trying to maximize the amount of money that he can make, so assuming he is out for the time being. Probably going to be a pretty uninspiring signing, but we will see.

Agreed. I thought Cole Anthony was the last chance to nab a guy that could play meaningful minutes at PG for us.

Outside of an unlikely trade, it appears we're rolling with Mike and Dilly. It's a concern for sure.

Dilly is going to get it done. Most improved player award.

Delon Wright

That would be a solid fit.
