Jeez I"m glad someone finally said it.

Yup. All avenues seem to have been exhausted. Time to go from zero moves to Kuminga, Horford, Morris, Melton, Seth. A team actually built around Steph/Jimmy/Dray that is much better than what we had last year.

The warriors can sign Horford and Melton today if they want to.

Am I mistaken but don't the warriors have to find out how much they will offer kuminga (if he doesn't want the QO) or how much money they take back in trade, so they can offer a more appealing contract for meton and hortford. I thought the hold up was the money on all sides.

If the Warriors lock Horford into the entire TPMLE before Kuminga signs, there is an amount that a team could offer Kuminga in a RFA sheet that the Warriors wouldn't be able to match without going above the 2nd apron.

I guess they could try and jettison someone like Hield or Moody to drop below, but I don't think they want to do that. For the above situation, a front-loaded 3/75 offer sheet would be problematic for the Warriors if the TPMLE has already been spent. I don't think a team has the cap space to do such a maneuver, at least at the moment.

Going by the conversation so far is it the case then that the decision in front of the Warriors currently is either to sign Horford and Melton right now or risk them going elsewhere while they dither over Kuminga?

Forget Kuminga, im feeling sorry for Suns fans.

Ship out kd for a horrible contract (Green)
Stretch Beal for another horrible contract (book extension).
Now they want to add a 3rd horrible contract? (Kuminga 25M+)

Move over Charlotte, we have a new team in town.

Effing Kuminga has become our version of Angelina Jolie. Mired in a dispute from hell, we just can't seem to free ourselves of this biyatch.

Kuminga is delusional and keeps getting terrible career advice from his agent and close friends.. The worst decision one can make is to overate yourself and getting greedy ...now he might have to play for much less and be out of the league in a few years...

That team was proper f'ed when they traded for beal's no trade clause. It should start getting better soon-ish.

Not with that green contract, book extension, and a possible kuminga extension. They had a get out of jail card by stretching Beal, except they went for the life sentence while close to parole.

Force him to sign the QO. We have time. JK only has until 10/1 to sign or he’ll be a RFA again next season

Well that is the question. Do we have the time.

Yup, training camp starts in late September and all the good FAs are gone. Might as well wait if JK doesn’t take whatever our offer is.

Betting Warriors is avoiding going above the 1st apron this year.

We're all blaming Kuminga, but the other problem is that the stupid Nets are still something like $20 million under the luxury cap (not to mention almost $5 million under the minimum team salary) and still have an open roster spot. It's an effing Mexican standoff between the Dubs, Kuminga and the Nets.

I am not sure the Nets are still interested, but if they are, they can wait indefinitely. They aren't going to do much this season, with or without Kuminga.

My guess is they'll keep the cap space open and sell to the highest bidder looking to offload a sizable expiring contract this season. Of course, they'll be expecting at least one first round pick for helping out.

I would not make that bet. Based on what we've seen and heard from Lacob, he's looking for a big move. Giannis? Even if someone like that is a long-shot, you have to figure the Warriors would need to go well above the 1st apron to make that happen. Idiot ownership even put it out there that they inquired about LeBron. Again!

Does the CBA allow pre-nups?
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Nets are a freakin bipolar organization. They went from having kyrie, Durant, and deandre jordan on the payroll, to having no payroll. What a mess over there.

If the Nets wanted him they could offer him $20M and GS would most likely match. If they wanted him badly enough they could do a S&T easily. The fact they drafted 5 guys and aren’t stashing any of them tells me all I need to know.

I think nets are out on kuminga.

Kings? That noise seems to have died down.
Hornets?
Suns?

I think that might be it.
