Fab Melo?

Yep. That was him. God, I am terrible with names. It's embarrassing.

He died young. I think that he was only 27.

They were just drafted so signing a 2-way is a formality.

No team would draft a guy and then cut them right afterwards. That's just not something that teams do.

Watson was 54th pick last year and it was a formality that he'd be on a 2-way..and remember how shocked everyone was when he was waived? He was waived in March..it was even more shocking when the pacers waived Tristen Newton, after they just drafted him in the 2nd round and he was on a 2-way.

Those 2 cases were very rare, outlier cases. Most times, if you draft a guy and put them on a 2-way, they're on your team for at least a year.

If you draft a guy, they're guaranteed to be either on the standard roster or a 2-way (unless they're a draft and stash). And if they're on a 2-way, they never get waived until January at the earliest.

Drafting a guy and then waiving them after SL would be poor asset management. Teams don't do that.

If you draft a guy, it's because you believe in them. You wouldn't just give up on them after 4 meaningless SL games.

I agree with none of this

I noticed that too. To be fair, it's not that Amari has been super effective finishing plays.

EDIT: And right on cue, Amari with the finish.

Yeah, I remember that. Sad when people go so young.

No Number 9 Pick,
No Dame,
No Bassey,
No Baylor 3-Point Touch.

The Summer of Slum continues...

At least PBS, NPR and Stephen Colbert were defunded. So, not all bad...
