Bobby is where he is because he's a CBA expert. Masai started as a scout. Masai insisted on sticking around until the draft, and made the initial call to CMB. Behind Masai of course is the highly respected Dan Tolzman as head of scouting.
So why, oh why, would you give credit to Bobby for this, or any draft? Please explain your reasoning.

An NBA player's agent told me that Bobby makes the final decisions. Masai's responsibility is managing relationships. Behold... this is the rizz of the NBA player's agent, mighty and frightening in its aspect! Many claim to understand it, but few can withstand its... power!!

He has that veteran build already. Seems like a really smart player who knows how to use his angles and body to full adv. Just worried about how he'll fit in with Yak and Scottie at least in the near future.

I'm suggesting that your agent acquaintance was BSing you. We already know that Masai took the lead in trading Pascal (Bobby wanted to extend him). Masai took the lead trading for Ingram against internal resistance.
No way, NO WAY, MLSE would have given Masai $13-15 mill/yr + $60 mill in profit sharing just to "manage relationships". No way, Jose.

Didn't they try to trade the pick? Some times it's better to be lucky.

Why would a guy I met only once and whose name I don't even recall ever BS me? Is my rizz... that weak...????

I know RJ was in play, but that pick sure seemed live too. Masai even said it was "top seven".

Re: Collin Murray-Boyles Thread
Im happy Raps fans are finally coming around to the pick. I feel like people heard he didnt have a jumper, he was a inside scorer, and automatically made the assumption he was a defensive specialist who operated as an undersized center.
The SEC is considered the strongest conference in college basketball... CMB dominated as a freshman, and did even better as a sophomore, while being on an absolutely awful team. His efficiency while being on an awful team wasn't just good, it was elite, and all the analytics pointed towards this guy being one of the best players in college basketball as a 19 year old. On South Carolina he was #1 in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks while being #2 in assists, there was only 1 other player on that roster who had a PER above 15, and a TS above 55 percent. CMB did everything for that team on elite efficiency, while facing double teams every single night, and then you add in that he was probably the best defensive player in college basketball... his impact was that of a superstar.
This was a guy who was an elite slasher, showed elite IQ, amazing footwork (offensively & defensively), some of the best hands I've ever seen on a prospect, and elite processing on both ends. CMB is a very good athlete, he's fast, strong, and he has a super quick first step. His potential as a scorer is underrated, infact his potential as a basketball player is underrated. This isnt a guy who is going to be at a defensive energy big, who can score from inside... He legitimately has two way allstar potential, and I honestly believe in him and his abilities.

Every pick is in play. Raptors weren’t actively trying to trade it. In fact they actually turned down a chance to trade it.

It's probably in play with White or Holiday if those turn out to be true.

Possibly, but you got nothing. Only thing we do know is they turned down trading the pick.

They had the best odds for Giannis at one point.

That’s great. Not sure where you’re going with this. Still not proving anything. lol.

Lol Jake Fischer. If Masai actually offered that, RJ would be in Boston right now. Jrue has 3 years left on his deal and makes nearly 40 million a year. Boston traded Jrue for Simons who they are already trying to trade.
