17 years...
Anyoen that disagrees with me should retire from Realgm boards. How many teams have not had an all star big in 17 years.
The draft is not a crap shoot. The draft is how a GM earns his paycheck. Most rookies dont make the allstar team but If he does and your teams GM passed on him

WTF are you talking about?

Derik Queen is averaging 14 points on 44% shooting with 5.3 turnovers a game. That's not "strong play". That's not good play at all. It is downright detrimental to the offense if your big man takes up that much usage so inefficiently. And defensively, he is averaging just 1.0 blocks and 0.7 steals. The rebounding is good and it's nice that he averaged 6 FTA's per game, but the idea that he is showing All-Star potential is crazy.

Riley did only take 6 shots in his last game against the Nets but ended up with 16 points with a 103 TS%.

While it was a bit of a downer not see a few more summer league games with Tre/Riley, the lack of a playable center may have played a role with the Wizards choosing to shut down Sarr. Liam Robbins is -22 in his last 3 games.

His rebounds?

AI disagrees with you, nate33, as of Friday, July 18, 0935 HST.

In the NBA Summer League, Derik Queen, the 13th overall pick for the New Orleans Pelicans, has been a standout performer, averaging a double-double. He's recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers, including a notable jump shot over a 7-foot player. Queen is also averaging 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, with a 44% field goal percentage. Despite some struggles with turnovers, his overall performance has been impressive, showcasing his scoring, playmaking, and athletic ability

Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Of course he’s out. I said earlier NO drafting him is a nightmare situation for him.

CCJ, I said his rebounding and foul drawing was good.

But his scoring efficiency was bad and his turnovers were horrific. It's only Summer League so he deserves the same leeway any other rookie would get. I'm just saying there was nothing in his performance that jumps out and should make one assume he is bound for the All-Star game and that Dawkins should pack his bags in preparation for being fired.

It kinda is, but it's also representative of the fact that the Pelicans are willing to overlook some things other teams just aren't prepared to. None of the other teams in question were as excited about Queen as Joe Dumars. Either he's ahead of the league or he's the same guy who's generally done rather poorly in the draft and traded arguably his biggest draft success (Khris Middleton) as a throw-away before he broke out. He did once upon a time also draft hyped college bigs Greg Monroe and Andre Dummond. They weren't bad picks but they also weren't amazing.

I LIKE Deriq Queen, but, no. He's been pretty bad.

WizarDynasty wrote:...If he becomes an allstar in his first 2 years, Dawkins should be fired....

If he continues to play at his current SL level, he's more likely to be out of the league in 2 years than to be an all star.

You gonna admit that u can't evaluate talent if that happens?
I didn't think so.

Who the holl is "Tre Young"?

You are too much! :) One of a kind. More power to you, amigo.

I'll be happy if both DQ and Tre Johnson are good pros, and I'm sure you will be too.

Queen is not going to be a good NBA starter. I don’t get the love for that guy. He will probably be in the league for a while as a decent bench player that bounces around a bunch. Fears is going to be a beast though I bet.

I have purchased stock in both players. I predict Fears is going to be an allstar, and Queen is a highly skilled big man who is just starting out, the nickname Baby Jokic is appropriate when you watch his highlight reel.

I love and of compared him to a more athletic Thomas Bryant. He's not better feet and handles and he's a little more athletic but not by much

When I look at Queen I see an EG draft pick special of yester year with that clown Ted giving him the green light to be drafted at 6 because he’s LOCAL MD. And Terp fans will surely come watch him play right?? attendance is better than winning!

Only 7 players dressed for the game. And one guy was signed this morning off Denver’s SL roster

Jahmir Watkins looks great in this SL game. He is a rare explosive defender.

Dillon Jones hustles and does a lot of things well. However, he seems like he has a football body. He appears to be 6'5" and about 235.

Dat2U's guy, Dink Pate, looks like a stud.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Today's game was more enjoyable. There was lots of ball movement with AJ not playing. Dillon Jones looked really good and Clayton looked good again. I can't believe how down I am on AJ Johnson now.
