Lol... wasn't there a time he was the #1 draft pick in the mock drafts?

He was the No. 2 player in his high school class behind Ben Simmons. 5 star guy. Just played really bad at Kentucky and it never translated at the next level either.

Ethan Thompson is 12/45 from the floor and 8/30 from 3PT in 4 1/2 games.

And he's 26 years old.

What are we doing here?

These games has been a catechism of the Magic season, from the slow starts, the horrible shooting, the rough 3rd quarters and then the attempted comebacks.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

Go Magic, Go Dwight, Go Vuc, Go Paolo, Go Keegan :)

So we should blow it up and tank for Dybantsa?

Of course not.

We could be a loser for Boozer. Wait, we don't even have our pick next season.

Didn't even realise we had a game today. It does seem questionable why we locked Ethan Thompson into a two-way contract so early, but it's easy to say that in hindsight and no one else has been impressive from the rest of the summer league roster.

It's just crazy. There's multiple available two-way spots and every single player non-roster player has been pretty much awful the entire Summer League.

Moore's been the least bad.

Two-ways are not guaranteed. They can cut him loose at any time.

Weltman must be doing an agent a favor by playing Kelley.

Jase said in the in-game interview that he was looking forward to playing on the ball in his natural position of PG. I'm paraphrasing, but I'm pretty sure he said his natural position was PG.

I mean... no disrespect to Jase, but if the Magic felt the same way, they'd have stuck him on the ball and let him initiate ball screens in Vegas.

They used him like Michigan State used him. Like a shooting guard.

If Jase is playing on the ball this upcoming season, something went terribly, horribly wrong injury wise.

The most interesting guys on the SL team were the guys who were buried on the bench.

Freemantle, Davis, Akins are all guys I wouldn't mind seeing more of.

I think it was the on ball pressure that kept him from being on the ball. The best ball handlers in the league need to give up the ball when they are being pressured by a good defender. Jase even alluded to that in the interview.

That's just ridiculous tbh. If he can't handle ball pressure in the summer to the point where they have to take him off the ball completely, then he ain't gonna be a point guard in the NBA anytime soon.

Looked like he played on ball A LOT in the second game... Especially the second half ... Made it to the rim a lot.... Or to the line.

Ah ok, fair enough. Also didn't realise he's 26.
