I’d take brogdon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's washed.

The Celtics got rid of him for a reason, and he's only played 64 games total the last 2 seasons. Either go for upside players, or wait for better vets to get bought out at the deadline.

Maybe he's washed now not sure, but Boston traded him for Jrue right after he was 6MOY

Brogdon would basically be an upgraded Shamet on offense, obviously a problem on the other end.

He's washed now, and his defense wasn't working with the Celtics 2 years ago.

This would be Kemba again, somebody who is clearly on their last leg.

Been there done that with Kemba, so I agree pass on Brogdon.

Does an allstar from last century count?

Exactly. Precious being unsigned this year and last year for a month has nothing to do with whether the Knicks should have pursued him or Ben Simmons but you used Simmons being unsigned by the Celtics as a reason the Knicks shouldn't pursue him. I simply asked you if you were against signing Precious.

I'm curious to hear the opinions of people that have watched him over the last couple years and not just repeating old narratives. I was hoping you could provide a little more insight.

Who would you like the Knicks to pursue with possibly their last vet min spot?

If Ben had a brains personality transfer he'd be great... But then Knicks spent 5 years building culture and not about to throw it away on ben.

What culture have the Knicks built over the last 5 years? I honestly have had trouble defining the identity of the team other than they seem to be a good group of guys.

Well up until last season, which for what is worth was our best season the Knicks were known to be grit, play above our "on paper" talent level and played defense

Delon Wright wouldn't seem too bad then, for another year

I know that is the reputation that has followed Thibs around since Chicago and may have been how the Knicks performed at certain points throughout his time in New York but I feel like there have been too many changing parts year after year to actually develop a true identity and culture.

Year 1 was the only year the Knicks finished in the top 5 on defense and they were the 4 seed in the East. Year 2 things fell apart and they missed the playoffs. Year 3 they bounced back but it was actually their worst defensive year under Thibs barely finishing in the top 20. Year 4 was like 3/4 different teams with different identities in one season and year 5 was another big makeover of the roster. This year they have a new coach and likely a new philosophy.

Mitch is the only rotational player remaining from Thibs' first 2 seasons and he has missed a ton of time. The only constants I can think of are the rebounding, the slow pace and the pretty basic offense. I was just trying to figure out how a "culture" that was built with constantly changing parts around someone like Randle in a major role for 4 years would all of a sudden fall apart with the addition of Simmons in a much smaller role on the vet min.

Either way we have a new coach now. In theory he should be an upgrade/better fit for the
current roster construction of this team than Thibs was.

KAT trade happened in October. I wouldnt call it probable but I wouldn’t be blown away with another star being traded ...Giannis, LebRon (maybe even a surprise like Booker) in September/early October.

Begley is basically the Front office mouthpiece and him coming out saying the Bridges extension is on hold due to waiting on Giannis is interesting to say the least.

The below trade could work ...however it likely only works if Giannis specifically asks to be traded to NY.

Ideal roster construction is all about counter-balancing your stars with the right players.

Yabusele is NOT great counter-balance to KAT but....he IS a great counter-balance to Giannis. And Giannis counter-balances KAT really well.

KAT(25)/Huk(13)/Giannis (10)
Giannis (22)/Yabusele(21)/KAT(5)
OG(32)/Yabu(6)/Diawara - McCullar (10)
McBride (20)/ Clarkson (20)/ Vet min
Brunson (30)/ McBride (5)/ Delon Wright (13)
New reality of Son ship!

The Bucks sacrificed a great amount of long-term salary cap to build a competitive win-now team. It would not be polite for Giannis to leave now.

I think Giannis will reevaluate things next offseason. However, if the Bucks have a particularly poor start, he may request a trade before the deadline.

The team is average-good. It can be surprising.

Kevin Porter Jr/Cole Anthony
Trent Jr/Ryan Rollins
Kuzma/AJ Green
Giannis/Prince
Miles Turner/Bobby Portis/Sims
BAF Brooklyn - Pre-Season NBA 2K Simulation 2023 Champions.

Brunson/Nembhard/Micic
IQ/Strus/Ben Sheppard
Butler/Nesmith/Watford
Batum/Boucher/Morris/
Embiid/Plumlee/Landale/
