The Mavs owners are trying to get a new arena. Casino or no casino they are going to get a new arena. Their current least is up in July 2031 with the American Airlines Center. They trust Nico and are putting all their chips on him and his ability to build a winning team (not necessarily a title team). As long as they are exciting to watch and keep the arena packed Nico isn’t going anywhere., nor should he.
You personally may not agree with or like the team Nico has assembled but fact is that doesn’t matter. Nico is building this team and he’s building HIS vision. The owners seem to like what he’s doing so I don’t see Nico going anywhere until at least 2032 when they are expected to move into their new arena. After that point I exited Nico and the ownership to leave Dallas.
Reports said that Dumont was pissed by Harrison and for what happened after the Luka trade, owners are not happy.
Of course the rigged lottery calmed down the fanbase but no way Harrison will survive 6 years without a title, not even 2.
Fans don't want Harrison and the "Fire Nico" chants will never stop.
Until street clothes plays games and Mavs win games he is ok. But his time in Dallas is done.
Flagg is not Luka, he is not ready as he was. This season is scary.
Actung my friend, your optimism never worked in the past and this time it's not different... The reality will hit you again.
And you believed that report? You believe that a player of Luka’s caliber can be traded without the owner’s knowledge? If you believe that there’s a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you. Just face it, Nico has built a contending team in spite of trading away its best player. The Mavs may have lucked in to Cooper Flagg but so what? Who cares he plays for the Mavs now and it doesn’t matter how he got here, he’s here.
We all understand you’re still butt hurt over the Luka trade. Get over it. He’s not coming back. He plays for the Lakers now. The Mavs were fine before Luka and they will be fine after Luka.
And no matter how much you wish for it Nico isn’t getting fire buddy. The ownership loves him and honestly overall he hasn’t done a bad job.
I read you confused as always... This is not a contending team and you will face it very soon AGAIN.
It's clear that Dumont was ok with Luka trade but he was not ready for what happened after that in the fanbase, you can trust in whatever you want but a lot of people reported the bad vibes in Mavs organization.
That rigged lottery saved Harrison ass for now but it's just a fluke, he is done here. And you have to live with it.
Don't desappear again when things will not go how you think. Please.
The point here is not Harrison is a good GM or a bad one (honestly i think he is not so bad), he agreed to a no basket move by Pelinka/Silver for his personal interest. The problem was never been Luka trade for me, i don't care about Doncic but what he didn't take for him. We basically gifted him.
And please stop talking about "Nico vision", it's just bull. That move was not because his vision.
Nobody is soo stupid to trade the only PG in the roster for another 4/5 who doesn't fit the timeline. It's absurd.
And Harrison is not stupid for sure.
"Defense wins championship" ? And they sign D-Lo
Are you really trust what Harrison said? He disappeared for months.
A man with a vision and with no regrest doesn't act like him. That's sure.
A corrupted GM can't survive with not rings, last year was a disaster.... If the Mavs start of the season will be just mediocre he will fired and Dumont can save his face. This is the real world.
