Unsurprisingly he is on Cam's side.

Players are now part of the media. If you gonna call players out be prepared for them to come back at you.

I doubt Zach Lowe cares. In fact I feel like Cam's little meltdown proves his point.

He was about what?

You can't be right or wrong on a basketball opinion. These people just talk about the game. There is no such thing as a basketball expert.

If you gonna talk negative about players be prepared for them to comeback at you. That's my point lol

Lowe is damn near the only person that ever talks about us in a positive light and probably knows our team better than our own beat writer.

It’s a tough balance between keeping viewers and not being a dick but idk. I don’t think Cam would care if Lowe worded it like “GMs around the league want to see Cam improve his vision and distribution before committing top dollar” but calling him a ball hog gets engagement

Lowe does not manufacture takes for engagement. He's like anti-clickbait, you have to listen to like 2 hour podcasts to get his takes.

Are we sure we should be taking his takes seriously if he's praising us?

We haven't done anything to be receiving praise lol

not sure "praise" is the best word here. "thoughtful", "insightful", "well researched", "informed", "fair"
dude recently rewatched every single melo pnr play from last year for a pod segment. nobody else in national media would do that for hornets.

WAS letting go of anybody that's a vet that might want to win. Looking for McCollum to get moved too.

Okogie to the Rockets. At this point it seems like Houston is trying to sign every wing so no one else can have them.

Random pet peeve of mine. Every offseason we get threads on the general board or comments on Reddit et cetera talking about hypothetical expansion drafts and who would you protect. Yet no one ever really takes the time to understand the rules behind how previous expansion drafts work when they do this. coolio Can attest to how deep we went regarding expansion drafts back in 2003-4 Leading up to the summer of the Bobcats Expansion draft.

1. Expansion drafts always happen before the NBA draft. If you're gonna do this you have to do it with the thought in mind that rookies don't need to be protected because they wouldn't be on your roster at the time of an expansion draft.
2. Free agents don't need to be protected because they wouldn't be on your roster for the upcoming year.
3. Restricted free agents do have to be protected.
4. There are a lot of cases where some teams may not even have eight players to protect (they had a lot of expiring contracts) and in that case they may only protect 6 but you still have to make at least one player available. Leading up to the 2004 draft teams were signing random players to put at the end of the bench for the sole person of making sure they had at least one random player to protect if they were going to have less than eight.
5. Protecting a players was based on roster sizes of what they were back in 2004 which I believe was 13 players and not 15. I suspect that now that rosters are at 15 players the protection might expand up to nine players.

So assuming there was to be an expansion team starting this year then the expansion draft would have taken place sometime between the end of the regular season and the NBA draft.

so protected hornets list would have looked something like
- melo
- miller
- miles
- mark
- mann
- salaun
- grant
- moose
----
available players
----
nurk
simpson
okogie
baugh
jefferies
nsj

If the expansion team is set to happen in 2026 then again that draft would happen after the finals before the NBA draft and before free Players that are free agents in the summer of 2026 unrestricted free agents in the summer of twenty twenty six would not be available for selection and don't need to be protected.
- melo
- miller
- kon
- liam
- kalk
- sion
- miles
- moose
---
available
---
grant - gamble That an expansion team would be looking for young players on rookie contracts rather than Veterans. You could also dare a team to take miles or make him available for some type of compensation like a future pick. obviously ifkalk, sion, It didn't really show anything in their rookie year then you might allow one of them to be made available instead.
nsj
simpson
baugh
peterson

Nutso. Despite me hating the Clips, this gets me closer to not wishing them ill.

Yes, we should be wishing they have adequate healthcare coverage

Found this interesting:

Lance Stephenson: I don't regret none of everything I did in my career. But one year, the year that I left Pacers to go to the Hornets, once I got paid, like I didn't keep that hunger. I kind of slowed it down like you know once you get paid… I got a car. I got houses. I got like I was hyped like all my friends I'm on top of the I'm like this. I go to my hood. I'm doing music videos. I felt like at that moment right there, I should have just went started going harder and harder and harder. And that's the only part of the only part of my career I feel like, damn, I should have changed that right there.
