Bo is done man. He moves like a 45 year old middle aged man. This inning should have been over if he had any athleticism whatsoever. Not even convinced he could outrun Kirk at this point.

This front office desperately needs to make a move to get another high leverage reliever, with Sandlin and Garcia both out. Do not need to wait 11 days before the deadline, with this critical stretch of 14 games in 13 days played by this team.

I think with a lead I keep Straw in the game for defensive reasons and don't pitch hit Loperfido.
One can argue that we need more runs in this game as justification for it. Rational but still disagree.
6th and later with a lead I always keep the best defender in.

Need a hit from Vladdy here to score Springer. Huge run to get.

Yea that was a playable groundball for any decent shortstop, would've saved us two runs too if we got that out. This is the biggest risk to me in extending Bo. He's the type who will never move off shortstop despite how trash he is at the position.

A team with a high leverage reliever to trade has no reason to do it 11 days out of the deadline unless they are receiving a no brainer offer (ie: an overpay).

Generally agreed. But there are risks as well that you avoid, by getting things done now. There will be deals done this week by teams on both sides trying to get ahead of the game.
The ratio of #sellers to #buyers can change a fair bit over the next 10 days, which often times that ratio goes up in the last week in the seller direction (in terms of more sellers) which hurts the seller market.
And then the injury risk as well.

If we are using Bruihl and Tommy Nance in high leverage, we’ve got a serious relief depth issue.

There is a stat in golf called bounceback, which measures your % of birdie holes after you scored a bogey.
I would think this Jays team has a very high bounceback rate. They tend to get back at you quickly after you score a run later in the game.

A few weeks ago there were games we were using Estrada and Ryan Burr in high leverage and it worked.
Somehow this teams keeps finding ways to get it done despite the weaknesses.
