There are too many people irrationally confident in their ability to drive with a trailer behind them. I almost got run off the road three times during my drive back to Wisconsin by people unaware that they need to consider the length of their trailer when switching lanes.

The levels of incompetence when it comes to driving these days is insane. Almost got into a major collision two weekends ago because a girl was at a DEAD STOP at the bottom of the I-94 on ramp instead of accelerating to merge.

I think I am honking my horn at someone on a daily basis because they don't go when the light turns green, especially on the left turn arrow. I assume a lot of it is people looking at their phones.

Someone turned right in front of me from the left lane this weekend. No signal, just 'oh **** I wanna go to Aldis!' My car slammed on the brakes for me, thankfully, with no one behind me.

Kinda makes me want to get one of those dash cams.

This is a recurring problem. There are people who don't understand that they should be accelerating on an entrance ramp to match the speed of interstate traffic. I'm constantly finding myself behind people going 35mph while trying to merge into traffic going 75mph, not aware of now dangerous that it is to everyone involved.

This is some old man **** but I have definitely been saying this since I was a new driver: My **** kingdom for 4 people at a 4 way stop who all know what the right-of-way rules are. "ohhh it's so hard, you have to know 3 things"

It's just way too easy to get a driver's license. The proportion of people who either don't know the rules, don't have good enough control of their vehicle to consistently apply that knowledge, or just aren't paying any attention at all is wildly out of line with what you'd expect from a rational society given how generally dangerous cars are.

This scam attempt made me 99% certain that I need to get a dash cam.

Driver fled to Ecuador and then was arrested and charged when he came back. Happy ending at least.

A dash cam is a must have. I've had mine for awhile, I should update, they are much better now.

New cars should come with built-in dash cams. My 2016 SUV has cameras on all four sides of the vehicle - just add the ability to record and voila!

But anyway, I've been meaning to get a dash cam. Anyone have any recommendations? I think I'd like to get a forward and rear facing one that's tied into the battery so it records when I'm parked overnight, but I'm not sure how easy those are to install.

This guys voice is annoying as hell but it's a start. There are a lot of reviews out there but most have affiliate links so I don't know how unbiased they are

FWIW, Consumer Reports top one is Redtiger F7NP Basic

The Redtiger F7NP Basic receives excellent scores for daytime video quality, audio quality, and ease of installation, as well as midlevel scores for nighttime video quality and versatility. It comes with a secondary camera to record the rear of your car, and it has one of the larger displays among the models we tested (3.2 inches diagonally). It also includes a hardwiring kit to wire the camera to your car’s fuse block so that it can stay powered even when your car is off. Other features include a parking mode that records when it detects vibrations (say from a collision), both suction cup and adhesive mounts, a GPS antenna for speed and location data, and apps for smartphones and Windows to control the camera and view footage. This Redtiger dash cam supports up to a 256-gigabyte microSD card.

$85 on Amazon, but yes you have to hardwire if you want it to record when the car is off. Mine doesn't do that.

Merging and people's inability to do so properly has been a pet peeve of mine forever.

Merging onto a busy highway at 45 is so **** dangerous and its completely avoidable.

I also can't stand when cars already on the highway change lanes into Merging traffic as its trying to merge. Pull your **** head of your ass people.

Holy ****. 71 is old for wrestlers, they've taken so many hits to the head, broken so many bones and were on so many drugs. Dark Side of the Ring has some really interesting stories. The first 4 seasons are on Hulu.

Yeah, while I appreciate the cultural importance and legacy that Hulk meant for professional wrestling, it's awfully hard for me to say too many nice things about a guy who was, objectively, a scumbag person.

I think its reasonable to reflect on the presence someone had in my/our lives, while also never having liked them, or in this case knowing they were a huge jackass. Hulk dying feels significant, to a kid of the 80s/90s. But I don’t think a ton of us liked him.

Exactly. Couldn't stand the guy personally. I was never much of a wrestling fan but I went to his first appearance at a sold out Bradley Center. It was a tag team with Hulk and Macho Man against Big Boss Man and someone else I can't remember. It was shown live on NBC. Miss Elizabeth gets "injured", Hulk tends to her, which pisses off Macho man, they go at it and that started a beef between them that carried on for awhile. It was louder than any Bucks game I ever went to at the BC.
