It's not.

Franz Wagner's rookie summer league: 21.5 MPG, 8.0 PPG, .448 FG%, .154 3PT%, .667 FT%, 3.8 RPG, 1.0 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.2 BPG, 1.8 TOV.

there are outliers

Was really hoping Franz would rest and work on his shot.

Oh well.

Germans play very team oriented basketball. Better system than what USA does. Good that we have german players and now even assistant coaches. Similar with Noah who also plays this brand of basketball. You can win with teams who have better individual talent that way.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

A lot of consternation over Maxime Raynaud who ended up averaging 13-6 and shooting .250 from 3PT and .600 from the FT line.

Yup, those that were very loud during or after the Summer league game be the kings became very quiet the rest of the way.

tbf, I also use game threads as my venue for overreaction

I don't disagree!

I just found it comical that people were peeing their pants about the Magic not adding a 4th player who is only capable of playing center and instead going with a big wing in the 2nd round.

I don't think anyone was peeing their pants. I pointed out that if Weltman was wrong after trading 4 2nds, it wouldn't have been a good look. Especially if players picked right after them ended up better.

I know better than to jump on an older players bandwagon in the summer league. I think Clifford is getting overrated. I read someone was comparing the Clifford pick to the Haliburton pick.

1 open roster spot and 1 open two-way spot.

They can’t currently fill the open roster spot unless they shed a little bit of salary.

I’m wondering if we trade a big midseason for a Vet Shooting Wing. Moe gets healthy and Orlando is serviceable.

Hopefully TDS fills the role well enough and Jett shows a pulse.

Jett’s not seeing minutes unless we have multiple injuries lol. He’ll get dumped at the deadline for 2 2nds though
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Not sure if we can even get a second for him, I don’t see management picking up his 4th year.

Is it just me or does it feel like the board is down on TDS for some reason? I thought he played decent this past season and just burnt out. Nothing more, nothing less.

He's 24. He had a few moments here and there but he's JAG unless he actually learns how to score efficiently. 52.2 TS% isn't 'decent' at his age. For now, he fills a need and is relatively cheap in NBA-money.

I'm all for holding older players to a higher standard, but he was still a rookie, which affects every player.
Caleb was the only player younger than him, who shot the 3 better than him.
I'll be more inclined to judge him more this year.

For an 8-9 player rotation in the playoffs,
If the Magic wanted to win,
Tristian Da Silva would be in the rotation.
Anthony Black and Jett Howard would NOT
