Knecht is barely an NBA player. I'm not even sure he has any positive value on his baby contract

I think that's pretty harsh. I think he's definitely an NBA player.

He was a very old rookie but being a net neutral on offense as a rookie is pretty good. He has an NBA skill which is his shooting.

He projects to have a profile like a Buddy Hield, current Klay, Tim Hardaway, Gradey Dick, Malik Beasley type player.

A rotation player that can be played out of a series in the playoffs if bum hunted too much.

He scored 9 ppg off the bench on 37.6% from 3

Had some good moments (and some bad, especially on defense). Remember when he scored 37 vs Utah and made 9 3s?

He has some potential, if he can get better on defensive instincts, can be a positive player

I would move him though in a deal for a 3 and D POA defender ASAP though

Shake Miltons deal is guaranteed this Sunday I think.....so I think a deal can happen this week or hes getting waived

Bronny might just end up being better than the last two Lakers FRPs lmao

Which would be all we need to know about how well organizations outside the NBA develop players.

Too early to speak on Knecht, but JHS was disappointing. To think that right after him, Jaquez Jr, Podz and Whitmore were taken with the next three picks.

First time I saw JHS I thought I was mistaken and that JHS was someone else because I saw a slow, unathletic player who couldn’t shoot. But then I thought about the gems the Lakers’ org has found in AR and Caruso, so I thought well maybe they know something..

No one bats 100 in the draft but I’m still high on Knecht as he’s shown in proper NBA games that he belongs in a good rotation. The poor kid must have barely even packed his bags since the rescinded trade. That’s pretty hard, when compared to the kind of stability and psychological safety Bronny is afforded.

Lakers B+ offseason

PG: Smart | Gabe | Goodwin
SG: Reaves | Knecht | Bronny
SF: Luka | LaRavia | Thiero
PF: LeBron | Rui | Kleber
C : Ayton | Vando | Hayes

If he's healthy Smart is an excellent fit.

I like the Smart/Ayton signings, low risk but high upside.

I don’t think they’d do it to Reaves in his contract t year but the team would be so much better if he played a 6th man role with a better wing defender in the starting line up.

I like Smart because he's willing to do dirty work on defense, but he needs to not shoot anything but 3's. He can very easily turn into Westbrook on offense but without the playmaking

I'd argue the Lakers had a better offseason than the Nuggets.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good (in regards to Pelinka)

Ayton falls into his lap
Then Smart as well

Laravia signing was solid

You guys think we’re done for now or any next moves?

I’d say 2 last moves make sense, but feel like we hold off until Dec or deadline

1) Getting another POA/wing defender as backup insurance for Smart. Someone like Thybulle, Ayo, or Djj

2) Backup C better than Hayes. I say go get RW3 for Kleber and a 2nd plus cash/protected top lotto swap in 28

A stretch big also works. Any names there? Boucher and Horford left to sign, but any trade targets?

Just wanted to pose a question to gauge just how crazy i am.

Who's the better TWO WAY player Horford or Jaxson Hayes?

Who has the more positive impact for their team? Who is just flat out the better defender?

Lakers don't have room for more than 14 guys unless they make a trade.
