Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
Would not shock me one bit if he’s the starting 4 next year next to Bam and Ware is back coming off the bench. With the lack of urgency to add a big it almost feels this way
C/PF Bam Adebayo C Kelel Ware C Vlad Goldin(2 way)
PF Niko Jovic(Point forward) PF/SF Haywood Highsmith PF Keshad Johnson
SF Andrew Wiggins SF Jaime Jaquez Jr SF Simone Fontechccio
SG Norman Powell SG Pelle Larrson SG Alec Burks
PG/SG Tyler Herro PG Davion Mitchell PG Kasparas Jakucionois *PG Terry Rozier

I’m here for it MWP. It's certainly chalk and cheese when hearing Spo talk about Ware vs Niko. You would think Spo rewards the guy who is showing the key attributes we look for.
Ultimately it doesn't really matter, all of Bam/Niko/Ware are going to eat pretty much all of the 4/5 minutes between them, so who starts and who comes off the bench is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
Point Jovic
Herro
Powell
Wiggins
Adebayo
Is a nice complimentary 5 really. All those guys can shoot and score, and there's enough defense with Bam anchoring.
Mix in Davion, Larsson, Jaquez and Ware as a 9 man rotation and I actually quite like it.

I think Bam is better suited at the 4, but I likr the idea of Jovic and Bam at the 4 and 5. Then when Ware comes in Bam can slide to the 4 and if you really want to get tall you can put Jovic at the 3 for some stretches, depending on who he has to defend.

Some will talk about how we can’t do that because it will hurt Ware’s feelings. I say phuck it reward Jovic. 6’10 240 is plenty of size next to Bam. Ware will eat too in a low pressure role off the bench and will play plenty with Bam too. As you can see it rounds out the depth chart going into the season if no other move is made.

Correct. Let’s not shy away from the Jovic and Bam front court cause Bam wants to play the 4. I think honestly Bam was tired of playing with 6’5 guys at the 4 lol. Jovic and Bam can interchange at the 4/5 when playing. Jovic is now 6’10 240 he’s plenty big to give Bam some breaks taking on the 5.

This team if it goes as constructed into the season will be dependent on Tyler Herro’s ability to create and score at a really high clip in the half court if they are to make any kind of run.
I don’t rule it out, but he’s got to become the guy who provides the offense and let everybody else fall into roles around him. The Powell acquisition allows the Heat to basically keep one of them on the floor at all times and run the offense through him when Herro is off the floor.
Herro
Powell
Wiggins
Jovic
Bam
Probably closes for us, and that’s a group who can easily play 5 out and find success

Cannot wait for Niko dreams to come true. We're gonna be big mad we don't have him locked in at 3/30.

This looks like such an awful starting five. If Spo turns this into a team able to reach the second round of the playoffs he should win coach of the year. My projection? 9th seed playoff birth. Out in first round 4-1.

Fonticheo will be playing heavy minutes, he's basically Max Struss 2.0,
Team needs to start Ware or maybe sign Trey Lyles and have him as the starting PF (only plays short bursts like 12mins a game), keep Jovic as the 6th man it's been the only role he's always done well in on this team. I would not be shocked if you see a ton of small ball with Bam/Wiggins/Powell/Herro and Mitchell.
Powell is a Spo dream at PF grossly undersized , tough excellent rebounder and floor spacer.
Miamis bench this year with Simone,Jovic, either Powell or Mitchell, Highsmith (and potential Ware) will actually be pretty solid one of the better bench units in the NBA

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
I been saying this. Their entire front office is too comfortable. Other than Yimmy, there has not big a big name signing since Lebron/Bosh in 2010. The years of whiteside/waiters were a bust. The signing of Lowry was a disaster, he could not even compete when the games mattered the most. Now this is offseason year 1 post-Yimmy and what are the Heat doing? Treadmilling.

Hopefully this is the year Jovic puts its all together. The 4th season is usually when the guys that have it, show it

If the league wants to favor us, they can give us the number 1 overall pick next season for staying quiet about Terry Rozier

Competition for that spot between the 2 will be a great thing.

I hope we see a ton of minutes with Ware, Bam, and Jovic on the floor together.

Said it before and will say it again, Jovic should start at 3. Wiggins can lead the bench unit.
Herro/Powell/Jovic/Bam/Ware
But I think Spo will start Wiggins and Powell. So it'll be Herro/Powell/Wiggins/Bam/Ware
