As someone that isn't a fan of Arsenal, this player is fantastic. Outside of being a bit weak in the air, he reminds so much of a more flexible Antonio Rudiger.

I wonder if he's the Saliba succession plan.

When Saliba was injured last season, we could only play left footed central defenders. Mosquera comes as Saliba's replacement and understudy.
Great signing imo

I'm hoping that Spurs can get the MGW situation resolved. Feels like Forest are kicking up a stink for no reason, honestly. Don't see how Spurs' approach could have possibly been illegal if we triggered the release clause and arranged a medical. Presumably documents are exchanged in that process.

Tbf, according to FIFA rules there has to be an agreement betweend clubs before they can talk to the player...
It's something nobody gives a **** about normally, but apparently the Forrest owner wants to play ball.

Isak is one of the most complete strikers in the world, a great dribbler who can play LW too. His only real flaw is the injuries before last season. Ekitete is 2-3 years younger and bad finishing as his biggest flaw. I would rather pay 130 for Isak than a bigger risk whose best season is 15 goals with negative XG. You don't need great link up play in LFC, Newcastle, you need a scorer who can score more goals in PL than Haaland in a season.

Liverpool & Arsenal blowing their #9 kitty on Ekitiktok and Gyokeres means the Mighty Chels have a free run at Isak Summer 2026...

This Isak situation is interesting, to say the least. Howe’s comments are very telling. Even Newcastle United fans are beginning to wonder if Isak has had his head turned.

With Liverpool nearing a deal for Ekitike, surely the Reds won’t bid for the Magpie forward, would they?

Unfortunately for Manchester United, they are in such dire straights financially they can only dream of “going all out.”

Great deal imho, much cheaper, Ekitike isn't Isak level but you don't need 30 goal scorer when you have Salah, Diaz, Gakpo, Wirtz etc.
A technical, tall version of Firmino might be enough. After Nunez, his lack of technical ability and the loss of Jota's skills with the ball you need someone who can combine with Salah, the wingers without losing the ball too often.

I thought the Fenway Sports Group was cheap.

At least they've been shedding salaries for the Boston Red Sox.

But Liverpool is no doubt making a ton of money, especially when they contend or win the PL and the UCL.

Meanwhile, baseball outside of NY and LA probably don't pull in hundreds of millions in revenues.

The club, under FSG, has never acted in this manner. It’s been functioning on a sell-to-buy basis from the beginning of their tenure, hence the focus on sustainability.

However, a switch has been flipped, and no one outside of Edwards, Hughes and the owners will give us a direct answer.

For once, all we can do is sit back and smile.

Apparently, Isak is wanting 300k a week to sign a new contract. Cannot see that happening with Newcastle United’s wage structure.

This could be another tactic by the player/agent to push for a move.

Additionally, there are conflicting reports about Isak training alone.

Pretty happy with what we've done this summer except for the Madueke move .. a little baffling there lol. I was hoping for our winger investment to be a game changer on the left side... maybe a sale of trossard will lead to a winger/attacking midfielder signing. Hoping for an Eze or Rodrygo miracle lol

What's with the fixation on Liverpool transfers? They haven't spent over 100 million pounds on transfers since 2019-2020 according to actual reporters in ESPN, The Athletic.
