I wonder if Coffey, Jordan Miller and Brandon Boston Jr are good options... They have good size for wings and look dynamic.

Knicks investigating Simmons as a backfill to the pieces going out in that Giannis trade.

I really don't think in the modern NBA you can have a bench lineup made up of 3/5 non-shooters, especially if the other 2 players are average shooters at best. Wouldn't get the Simmons move unless theres more to come
You should see lineups of

Clarkson
Bridges
OG
Simmons
Towns

Brunson
Hart
Bridges
Yabu
Towns

Brunson
Duece
OG
Simmons
Towns

Brunson
Clarkson
Bridges
Towns
Mitch

Etc...

Why are people acting like all the poor/non shooters have to be on the court at the same time? I'm not even sure if Simmons and Mitch will be healthy enough to play together. :D

The frontcourt was guys like Randle, Hart, Mitch and Sims last off-season and don't remember these concerns when Precious was brought back even after Thibs has shown that he has no problem throwing poor/non-shooters on the court together. How is essentially swapping Precious for Simmons a bigger issue now especially after swapping Randle for KAT? No one was talking about Hart/Precious/Mitch lineups.

With us, the fit inherently gets a little wonkier with our bench's shooting ability. There's almost no pathway for him to start with us unless Mike Brown gets super creative or *gulps* desperate at some point

I think he has a much more clear path to playing time there, then he will here. They'll probably be somewhat competitive in the play in race and he can maybe play himself into a bigger deal next year.

With us he's basically going to be a 10-20 minute a night defensive specialist who can up the pace a bit on offense.

Didn't Kendall leave Simmons to date Booker ?
Wonder if that would factor into teaming up with him in PHX?

I'd love Simmons off the bench for us though
he could be a good fit next to Deuce and Clarkson off the bench
Just have to avoid having him and Mitch on the floor together since Hack-a-Mitch/Simmons would be a nightmare situation

KnixinSix wrote:Ben in theory fills the dynamics this team needs most. Strong ball handler, length to defend 1 to 5. Strong perimeter defense and switching ability. Even some limited rim protection ability.

Obviously character and durability questions but our culture is as good as itgets and may be a great fit for him.

Yeah. I have the glass half full view too.
