Right now it makes less sense. I don’t love the Senguin/Durant fit though and Houston’s window isn’t exactly super wide. A Morant swap is a likely way to help jolt a team stuck. I’m assuming a lot

The only players I would trade Sengun for are clear upgrades in terms of total/cumulative impact for the next 2-3 years, and there isnt enough from Ja to consider the swap.

I agree this is a huge over pay for Ja he's got issues I'd rather just decline. Some team would want him and might pay too much for him but not this.

I have edey worth more than Kessler, and Kessler wouldnt go for this. Ja also has top 5-7 player true superstar ability he showed before his suspension..If im Memphis, the hope he can get back to that level is better than selling it for Sengun and picks

Guys here don’t seem to care much what is best for Memphis or Ja. They are rejecting and negotiating non-existing offers right and left quite passionately, looking unstoppable.

Many Grizz fans tell these guys exactly what the plan is including our GM and even Ja singing the same tune but posters prefer their own narratives. But yes you are 100% correct we intend on keeping Ja and Jaren.

I would also rather have Sengun than Ja, and I wouldn't particularly want to build around Sengun, either (he is good, just a bit tricky to build around, IMO).

Sengun is a solid 20/10/5 a night guy. Those five assists are an addition most bigs don’t have. Really, not many bigs doing 20/10 now. So, he doesn’t have long arms and isn’t a defensive powerhouse but he is still better than most.
Another thing is he has made big strides every offseason. Just wish Jabari and JGreen made improvements like he has.

I don’t see Sengun being dealt for Reaves. Sengun has been improving every year and was an allstar last year.
Ja is a star, even if tarnished.
Reaves is not a starter on Rockets. Besides, rockets are hoping Reed is better version of Reaves with defense.
