I'm not familiar with Priggy Smalls' coaching career, but I don't know a single Knicks fan that didn't love him as a player. I'll stan his hiring purely of nostalgia :)

Surprising to me but most of the Asst on Thibs staff are more Front office hires than Thibs guys. Only Brunson/Greer/Yoshimoto worked under Thibs prior to New York

Daniel Brady - Front office never coached under Thibs before
Rick Brunson - Thibs guy
Mark Bryant - Front office never coached under Thibs before
Maurice Cheeks - Front office never coached under Thibs before
Darren Erman - Front office never coached under Thibs before
Andy Greer - Thibs guy
Othella Harrington - Front office never coached under Thibs before
Daisuke Yoshimoto (Assistant Coach - Analytics/Player Development) - Thibs guy

Erman coached with Thibs in Boston; not sure he's a "Thibs guy" or was hired on Thibs recommendation.

I know everyone likes to freak out about him since he pulled some shady stuff in GS, but he's regarded as a good assistant coach.

Boston Celtics (2007-2010)

Erman was working with Celtics players: Brain Scalabrine, Tony Allen, Delonte West, and Ryan Gomes when one night, Steve Pagliuca, a co-owner of the Boston Celtics approached Erman and asked him if he could train his kids. After a while, Erman was offered a job during the Celtics Summer League then worked his way up to the main staff as a consultant in 2007, where he worked closely with top assistants Lawerence Frank and Tom Thibodeau.

Yeah I saw that but figured he wasnt a "Thibs guy" since he could have easily brought him in during the chicago, minny and early new york run and chose not to Im assuming

This is the key. If he's not lead assistant in Minny and Knicks offer him that role, it's a promotion not a lateral move.

It might be good getting a young innovative whippersnapper rather than a recycled HC like Stotts or Borrego after all

Looks like nobody wants to be Mike Brown’s lackey.

Maybe we can get Dick Helm out of retirement.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Would you please tell us all how you came to that conclusion?

Why would the Knicks hire a retired porn star to coach?

Do they think he would help Dink Taint?

How would a Raps fan know about how our new coach will do before he even starts?

It's a pretty common thing to follow other teams... After Knicks got OG and Brunson put on a show Knicks got into my top 3 lol, fun team to watch and with KAT there I thought they'd do more damage. Thibs did overplay them and I think a better rested team should do better in the playoffs and can avoid injuries.

Deuce careful to praise Thibs but also clearly looking forward to the bench being used more

Nice to see you take an interest. Yeah, OG is special to us and we’re all waiting to see what Brown can do for us.

He said touch the paint and spray...I'm out.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.
