Maybe Otis was right? Looks like one of the more difficult schedules.

The new coaching is really going to help this kid. Also it seems that he’s actually dialed in and not showing the laziness he showed last year. If Tyler Guyton actually hits his ceiling the Cowboys are going to be really good. At least during the regular season.

Couldn’t have an offseason without one idiot doing something idiotic…

"Turpin was pulled over at 11:39 p.m. on Saturday for going 97 mph in a 70 mph zone, according to an arrest report obtained Monday by The Dallas Morning News. An “unholstered” pistol and 9mm rounds were located by police in the backseat."

Yea honestly it was just a matter of time before he messed up. He was a notorious knucklehead at TCU. It’s why he didn’t get drafted. He can’t keep his head out of his own ass.

With that said, out with the old and in with the new. The Cowboys drafted the replacement for Turpin’s role (hybrid RB/WR). His name is Jaydon Blue and he’s from Texas.

Oh and a side note I read that Dak is the one that actually bailed Turpin out of jail. Can’t say I hate that.

There's that...

And there's the Trevon Diggs saga.

I'm not a betting man... but I'd damn near bet the house he doesn't see one red cent of those two non-guaranteed seasons (27/28) on his current deal.

Knowing his brother, nothing would surprise me.

Kinda where I'm sitting... his brother is a knothead. Was hoping Trevon wasn't. Starting to think he might just be.

I would honestly be shocked if he’s still on the team beyond this season. If he comes back early enough and plays halfway decent I would not be surprised if he’s traded for a RB. Who is a former high pick (at RB) that is kind of flaming out with his team?

Completely agree. They aren’t paying both Bland and Diggs in 2026.

And especially after drafting Shavon Revel Jr. Diggs’ time in Dallas is almost up.

I like this from him.

The media does what the media does. When there is nothing to talk about they create something to talk about. End up spending a whole week debating some meaningless side comment that Jerry makes.

From the reports coming out of camp Blue is not one of the top 3 RB’s getting reps right now. In order it has been Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, and Hunter Luepke. KaVontae Turpin has also been taking snaps out of the backfield. Blue, Mafah, and Vaughn have been getting very few snaps so far.

This does not sound like a very good backfield at all :(

Blue is the only one in there that gave me hope, the rest have proven to be MEH

I suppose Luepke is unknown. But he is an undrafted walk on who was not elite in college.

Give it time it’s early. They are not just going to give Blue or Mafah a starting spot. They still have to earn it.

I don’t see how. They didn’t mention that he’s lower on the depth chart because he’s lazy. My guess is it’s partly because he’s a low drafted rookie that’s going to have to earn his spot. Or maybe he’s not good at pass protection yet? Or maybe he just really sucked on day 1. It really could be any number of reasons.
