https://www.si.com/nba/knicks/news/og-anunoby-praises-new-york-knicks-experience

Appearing at the Iconoclast Summit hosted by Forbes, Anunoby was quick to praise his current settings, declaring New York to be the best destination of his basketball journey to date.

“I’ve been in New York the last year and a half and I’ve loved every second of it," Anunoby told host and and Forbes editor Maneet Ahuja. "New York has the best fans. "I love my teammates, love my coaches, love everyone. It’s awesome being here.”
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

They need to cool their jets on that one. Ivey is a productive player but was still a net negative for them last year (-7.6). They improved a lot after he went down. He can improve on things that will make him a winning player but I wouldn't give him that kind of ammo to think he's already there.

Came in here to just say I think the Clippers offseason was AWFUL

How did they not learn from the PG era mistake and continue to surround Kawhi with ancient dudes with injury issues :nonono:

What are the odds 3 of their starters are out with injuries at the same time?

Thats a calculated risk. The reinforcements are old but cheap. Great cost-benefit. They could not get yourger good players at their prices.

I'm not surprised. It's crazy how poorly the Nets are run compared to the Liberty despite being owned by the same group.

I'm not a big Cam Thomas guy because his style of play just isn't conducive to winning (his defense is horrible) but he cleaned up his efficiency for the most part and is a legit 20 plus ppg scorer. That's an insulting offer. Sean Marks continues to show his ass and yet remains the safest GM in the league.

Cam needs to leave that dump.

CJ McCollum is now complaining about the CBA that he agreed to and how it hurts teams trying to contend.

I think we need to jump this guy and beat his ass when whatever team he's on now visits MSG.

Basically saying just give him $15M and we promise we won't match the offer.

A bit OT but it's off-season: Just read Sandy Koufax went to U of Cinn in 1954 on a BASKETBALL scholarship; was an all-NYC H.S. forward (at 6'2") and his Lafayette H.S.team scrimmaged the KNICKS in 1953. After the scrimmage Knick star Harry Gallatin told Sandy's coach " “We’ll be coming back for this kid someday,”

Put differently, it means that if he played defense, he’d get $30M.

easy. $30M is discount bread for a two-way starter with his bag in this climate.

but the market also dictates the pay. too late in the musical chairs game and you get lowballed due to lack of opportunity.

this offer is still wild disrespectful, even for what kind of player he is.

looking at the market, what does a quentin grimes get right now? what should he get as a two-way starter caliber guy? and what's out there now?

dog days.

I don't think it's that. It's basically, no one else has money to pay you more and we're the only ones left, so here's our offer - take it or leave it. Guess they're also banking on the fact that Cam's pay is already low as the former 27th draft pick.

If I'm Cam, I take that QO. Even that Team Option is disrespectful. They're already offering a low-ball deal...that should be a player option at least.
