Lakers get a breathing room under the apron and 3&D guard, Hornets dump Green's extra year.

You're a Mavs fan so I'll defer to you but is Green any good? Especially for that salary?

I think Vincent and Kleber have as good of a chance at being relatively productive rotation guys as Green does.

He's not great, but better than Vincent and more reliable than Kleber.
I'd rather not have his salary next year if I'm the Lakers, but I'd rather have him + 2 vet min guys over Vincent and Kleber this year.

Maxi isnt worth salary relief and two younger, better players.

If you were given an opportunity to do a solid (this trade) for a person (Lakers) that outwardly crapped on you in a previous deal would you do business with them ?

Why? Clearly lakers were roght and hornets lying. They couldnt wait to dump williams at first chance they got

They got Liam McNeeley who is significantly more talented than Knecht along with a future first and Mark passed his physical with another team. Lakers are the only ones coming out of that whole deal looking silly

Y'all physicals are subjective exercises in assessing risk. Every team has different risk tolerances. The fact that he failed a physical with LAL but passed a physical with PHX means precisely nothing vis a vis whether LA or Charlotte was "right" about Williams' health.

No way Lakers and Hornets can negotiate in good faith - or even with good rapport.
