Dislocated toe. So disaster averted (I think? I don't know how long a dislocated toe keeps you out).

The ESPN/NFL deal will result in the NFL owning 10% of ESPN.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It's not perfect but they do have actual nuanced discussion and analytical minds on to talk about things in the NFL world. Unfortunately they do mix in some of that brain dead toxic arguing as well but for their NFL coverage at least it's not completely that.

With that said I think ESPN basically only makes money on televising actual sporting events, I don't believe any show just talking sports makes money(for ESPN or any other network)

The gulf between something like NFL live and whatever the equivalent is for the NBA is crazy. I think football is much more high level to understand than the other sports, but it seems like ESPN thinks the average fan is too dumb to care about that type of discussion instead of drama talk for any sport that's not the NFL.

I agree with it taking a higher level of understanding for the NFL versus NBA but to be honest I kinda get it

Its generally much more interesting to learn and talk about the nuances of an NFL game or matchup then it is with the NBA so with their NBA coverage they simply appeal to the lowest common demoninator

I loved Burks in that draft. Apparently, I'm an idiot.

FWIW: Jaire has had his knee drained during Ravens camp
https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2025/7/28/24476220/green-bay-packers-news-baltimore-ravens-jaire-alexander-knee-injury-update-drain-2025-training-camp

For those of you who were wondering why the Green Bay Packers couldn’t see eye-to-eye on a deal that would work out for both them and their former cornerback Jaire Alexander, it appears that his knee injury has not fully healed. While Alexander’s father accused the Packers of misdiagnosing the cornerback’s 2024 knee injury, the situation doesn’t appear to have resolved since he left Green Bay.

On Monday, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told the press that Alexander would end up missing the Ravens’ first padded practice of minicamp because the cornerback was going to have his knee drained. The expectation, per Harbaugh, is that Alexander will return to the field on Tuesday.

Maybe a non-serious thing, but interesting all the same.

First preseason game is in 2 days. Crazy. I watch Packers preseason to watch the roster battles but that's it.

Literally read this today.

McLaurin has also never been one to stir up drama or draw extra attention to himself, and I doubt he’ll publicly make a big deal of these negotiations. This is a man who quietly produced 900-yard receiving seasons with Taylor Heinicke and Sam Howell and Case Keenum as his quarterbacks and never made a fuss about the franchise’s direction. There’s no way this ends in a trade, and I think this franchise knows that the vibes are too strong to mess with the happiest time to be a Commanders fan in decades.

Would you all trade Doubs and like a 3rd for Terry?

Guve him a 3 ywar $90 mil deal? Hr is 29 and right at peak potential.

If 3 for 90 is what he'd sign for they get a deal done in Washington

Reports are they've offered 28 per and he wants 33-34 per

33-34 seems high at 1st glance but with the WR contracts getting handed out it actually seems pretty online with what he'd get on the open market

To answer you question though no. But then again if a WR isnt Chase or Jefferson im not paying any of these WRs the money theyre getting. I'd rather spend a day one or day 2 pick every single season on a WR then pay these WR prices right now

McClaurin has been a guy that's been criminally glossed over before this season due to the QBs he's had. No problem with him wanting to parlay that into a payday now
