I reckon around 35 wins.

Outside of Matas going supernova, I don't see the Bulls really improving much from last year. They're still a young team, but they also lack a true no. 1 option.

It'll be a play-in push once again.

We won 39 games and hard to imagine why we'd be worse at all, let alone significantly worse

Not sure how a better team in a worse conference wins less games but ok...

I feel like ~30 wins is the only scenario I can't see.

You could tell me the Bulls win 50 games and I'd believe you because maybe:
- The leap we saw from Giddey and/or Coby was real last year.
- Matas wins MIP
- All our sort of shooters (Pat, Ayo, Okoro, Giddey, Vooch, Smith, etc) all have good good shooting seasons.

You could tell me the Bulls win 25 games and I'd believe you because maybe:
- Coby remains inconsistent.
- Giddey can't shoot or defend
- Matas is meh
- The Bulls tank hard after the first 30ish games.

IMO the basecase, I think logically, probably attributes full-year averaged performances from Coby and Giddey and marginal improvement from Matas. A roll-forward of the end-of-year levels is obviously possible, but likely not baked in. Then there's Vuc...

Definitely going to hammer the over. I think the possibility of Giddey not being resigned is baked into that prediction which we all know is going to happen eventually. Vegas was way under last year as well if I can recall. I think they predicted 27 wins.

LOL the disrespect is incredible. I understand that it was only a 20 game sample size, and many of our wins were close, but anybody who knows ball knows we were playing a totally different style without Zach Lavine. Giddey/Coby gel'd together and Matas entered the starting lineup.

IMO, the number is 40.5. I anticipate a .500 season with no major injuries. Although with this draft, I hope we are either worse OR acquire a 2nd lottery pick to increase our chances of jumping into the top 4.

our play post-deadline was unsustainable and the key players who contributed to that stretch regress back to their previous career baseline?

i think 32.5 wins would probably be considered a fair projection for this roster if we never saw the games played after the lavine trade, and it's probably sensible for vegas to not weigh that stretch too heavily in their forecast for this season.

giddey, coby, collins, huerter and jones are all strong regression candidates from last year's hot stretch, and most of them you couldn't be surprised if they performed significantly worse this season. vucevic is also a strong regression candidate from last season's overall performance, even if he was already trending in that direction at the end of the season.

not saying they can't all continue be good! but that's a lot of guys who were playing notably well, and if they don't sustain that performance, this team could get really bad real quick.

Teams tanking for Flagg helped us during that stretch.

Sure, but this season we'll benefit with tons of good teams missing their best players.

Sure, but this season we'll benefit with tuns of good teams missing their best players.

And a lot of those "tanking" (bad) teams are still going to suck next year, plus surely more teams will tank for whoever is the 2026 flagg.

Over seems free as soon as they sign Giddey. They aren't gonna tank.

Fanduel was 28.5. Yeah the Bulls crushed the Vegas wins, even the optimistic ones were 30ish?

If Philly and raps improve then it’s possible. Hawks should be better too.

I don’t think we win much if Coby goes down.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Most teams will not be throwing games like the second half of the season.

Yes it's unsustainable which is why nobody is saying we'll win 55 games next season, that would be the sustained W/L post trade deadline. Anything below 55 is assuming regression, and I don't think anyone is saying we'll win even 50.

Bulls have never been as bad as 32 wins in the Billy Donovan era. Which is kinda one of our big problems.
