I figure, this is an upside gamble for Chi-if White stays about where he's at (near All Star level), and Giddey keeps improving (likely, only 22), Matas makes a jump (probable-kid works hard and has plenty of talent) and Lauri bounces back to an efficient 22/8 level, with ok defense, our potential in the weak East is strong. The bench of Jones/Ayo/Okoro/Huerter/Phillips/Collins/Noa would also be strong-with the added bonus of not having to watch Vuc/PWill anymore.
Char gets a much-needed starting center. They should go for the Playin-and start winning games.
Utah takes a step back, but it makes sense. The $ savings here are huge, and they for sure add another top 5 2026 pick of their own.
I tried the addition of Kessler, but Noa would have to be going out then (Utah gets Noa, 2026 1st, Port 1st, the 1st from Char)
Lauri to Bulls, w/ Char

I might be one of the few Bulls fans who likes this trade idea, but only because the Bulls aren't willing to tank (even for one season). Plus, the GM doesn't make trades to acquire future assets (picks).
With that in mind, the team may as well be as competitive as they can right now. If Markkanen can get back to his all-star level (or close) then that's a big upgrade at one of the forward spots.
However, I'm not sure if this trade is enough for Ainge to do it. PW is a bad contract right now and the picks aren't that great. From the Bulls perspective I'm not sure if I'd offer anything more and if Utah say no then that's okay.

Vuc has zero value, I don't see Cha taking him for free and especially giving up draft capital
