Kuzma for RJ is a no brainer for me. I kind of like RJ and he’s only 24/25 right now.

I was right next to the Bucks bench. I remember posting here what I was hearing Adrian Griffin say to our players and other coaches.

Me too. He seems like a smart kid from what I saw of him in "court of gold." He could develop into the combo forward we need. Certainly worth Kuzma AJJ and a 2nd. 1st idk maybe a top 5 protected swap but he doesn't appear to have a market.

I think almost any trade for Kuzma that doesn't include a pick would likely be considered a win. It would not surprise me if they wait until next year's draft to add a legit piece by attaching multiple picks to Kuzma or that salary slot.

Barrett and Kuzma should have similar value. They are a worse version of the Powell for Collins deal. Both combos feature a wing/PF with a 5 year difference. The deal is for cap space and roster construction.

Michael Pina has the raptors over the Bucks on the latest Lowe Post. How? That seems insane to me.

Of course he does. Grab the over if you can this season. They are going to give us a layup

Don't remember reading your post, but was it something like "The square peg goes in the round hole, you just gotta keep jamming it!" Or "Stop talking to the players and coaching them and come huddle up around me." ?

I absolutely hate making bets that I have to wait the entire season to collect on but the Bucks over/under win total looks like such easy money to me.

its fairly obvious thats what we need to do. just be patient. once hes expring salary hes going to be adding value all by himself in this league. we could get meh this year.....or we could get hell yeah next year

the only deal i consider this year is the deal that has higher upside next year. on court impact this year means nothing to me

Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe had a notable exchange about the Bucks in their latest pod.

It started with discussing how Steve Ballmer and the Clippers might be targeting Giannis with their refusal to extend Powell and broader plan of maximizing cap space for 2027, with caveat that if Lawrence Frank is recruiting he's not a subtle guy, reminiscing about how he'd visibly attend Raptors games to scout Kawhi.

Then:

Bill: Yeah. But he, by all accounts, he's fine in Milwaukee and the team's gonna be pretty good. I mean, they actually had a really good off season when you consider like what, the second best player on the team who made $50 plus million dollars was gonna miss the entire season. And you would've said, this team has no chance to look competitive. The Cole Anthony thing was a big deal, but They got him to be able to get somebody like that for nothing. He's a rotation guy. They kept Trent for nothing. He's a rotation guy. You know, they, they've added together a team that in a week conference with the best player in the conference, at least is now in the game. And I think with more of a puncher's chance than maybe the Clippers out.

Zach: Interesting. You're, you're, I actually, I don't disagree with you. I went through all the East rosters the other day and I'm like, I, the Bucks are actually a little better than I think they are. Yeah,

Bill: Yeah. They, they have a little more depth and a little more day-to-day. And I do think they can patch together some, some lineups that I like. I don't mind a couple of their young guys. I agree. There's some shooting already

Zach: And I agree with you. Like he's shown us over and over again. He would prefer to stay in Milwaukee. It actually reminds me of Ironically Dame in Portland, who they just like walked up and walked back, walked up and walked back. And like now that he's back is publicly saying like, I kind of re I I maybe I shouldn't have ever left. And Giannis kind of reminds me of that.

He's as efficient as MPJ, Josh Hart, Derrick White

He’s not even in the same planet as Hart and White defensively. MPJ sure but there’s a reason a contending team dumped him.

If we give up nothing to get him why not. He's a higher salary and better to pair with future picks next off season.

How desperate is Toronto to really unload Barrett? Would they attach a 1st or Jakobe Walter in a deal to save themselves money? I’d be all over that if I’m Horst but unfortunately he probably views Kuzma too highly.

Wait. You think if Toronto called and offered a first and Barrett that Horst would decline?

I get what you are saying but just going by a contending team dumping a guy is not a great reason. The Bucks roster are full of players that were dumped by their former team.

Toppin and Nesmith were dumped by their former team. Sometimes good players need the right support system for their specific skills. One will never know but I can imagine a scenario where Dort was traded if he didn't have SGA with him in the lineup.
