I have 4 Children and 6 Grands.
So, when I say that I appreciate Teachers, I mean that in no small terms.

Used to live there. Went to UNH Manchester for my BA. Glad they changed that rule and allowed you to do 12 months. Not sure I could've done that up there.
Nice, my school is on the seacoast right near UNH. Yeah, as a young chap, it was a challenge, but having a wife, son and such, it became easier. I used to bartend during the summer, but when we had our son, I stopped. I know you teach history I think, but are you in MA?
I'm actually in southern MD now near DC. And yes I am a history teacher. I love being a history teacher near DC because I try to plan field trips to the museums every year.

Great place to be. We send many students every year for the NHD nationals. I take my students to a WWII museum in Wolfeboro. Next week I’m taking our son and his buddy to a Linkin Park concert and we have a few hours to kill. So, I’m gonna give them an impromptu Freedom Trail tour. And my son loves history at 12. He’s already read “Unbroken” and is on to “The Wild Blue” now. And I have not told him about these; he’s done it on his own.

Both legends and icons in their fields for sure. Hogan a bit more problematic as he got older. Hard for me to reconcile the performer I grew up watching with the man he revealed himself to be later on in life. But they will be missed by legions.

Saw Ozzy in 1989, his first tour with Zack Wilde on guitar. Was great and I was in the front row in front of the speakers. Had ringing in my ears for days after. Those were great times. $20 tickets and general admission, so if you were dedicated or stupid, you could get to the front row. Hulk will always be Thunderlips to me.

Hogan was a piece of ****. Ozzy, while not my taste musically, was not.
My unpopular opinion is that genocide is bad and we should speak out against it.

And by no means to be forgotten, we also lost Malcolm Jamal-Warner as these things tend to come in 3's. Theo Huxtable was awesome. Personally for me, he gave me an image of a young Black teen who didn't have identify with struggle.

I saw this too, very sad when it is an accident at a relatively young age like that.
Slightly different situation for me, but as a white pubescent I was paying a lot more attention to Denise Huxtable.

Not condoning it at all, but there is way more to the story than that.

The year I graduated from HS I was working at Water Country and the beginning of the season, I was speaking to this lovely young women who was a year or 2 younger than me. I just happened to tell her the story of me having to write "Um" on graph paper, and she was like most, like WTF? So she asked me where I went to school and she said "Oh, my mom was a teacher there." I said, wow, what was her name and it was the same personSo, I said wow, how is she doing these days, because I really held no animosity towards her, it was more a comedic story by then. The girl's response, "She's dead. She died 2 years ago in a car accident." Boy, did that make me feel awful, even though I was not cursing her. I thought it was just absurd and funny.
Yikes. May I never knowingly run into their kids, because where is yo mammy?!![]()

You know what I’m keeping that insensitive joke about your teacher to myself, but baby, I love dark humor so it’s hard.
Oh trust me, my humor is as dark as you can get...but being a teacher I am careful about what I put in print versus thought or in person. So, you can use your imagination.
Are you an Anthony Jeselnik fan? His stand-up is dark (darkest?)! He's definitely not for everyone, but check him out on Netflix if you haven't already.
We won it for Al!!!

Ozzy killed 17 of his cats in a drug fueled rage and also attempted to murder his wife. But sure, Hulk Hogan is the POS here. Go tell all the make a wish kids who loved him.

Calm down. I stand corrected on Ozzy. Turns out they were both scum.
