I would put the Nets in here ahead of any of these teams.

Texans love guns. Not a problem here lol.

If Memphis is going to discount Sengun or Reed, Houston could do Vleet and Adams in December.
Picks to motivate Memphis:
Best two of brk/phx/hou in 2027.
Best two of dal/phx/hou in 2029.
The brk&phx combo and phx/dal combo could be a lot of lottery balls.

Nets would be a good fit. They could use a draw for sure.

Any reason you didn't include them?

I felt they were a ways away. They feel to me still in rebuild mode vs. the other teams that have go deep in playoffs or bust mentality to an extent.

That would be a no from Houston. Between Morant's body/antics, Durant's age, and Edey's foot the Rockets would be lucky to see 40 games of that trio together.

That looks like a great base for conversation.

Could see Utah trading for him after the end of this season. Personally don’t think Utah should. But they are going to make a move for a “star” at some point. Ja just happens to be one a few guys I think are allstar level players who are possibly attainable.

I don’t like undersized guards. I don’t like he plays a way he is most likely to get hurt again. But I would obviously hope for the best if Utah did trade for him.

No idea what the trade would look like though. And it’s a year away at the soonest and who knows what Ja’s value will be by that time.

Memphis would be silly not to take that. That’s a very enticing package. Getting picks from four different teams with huge variations in what those picks could be would be a no brainer IMO.

Memphis would probably be smart to package JJJ for picks that translate sooner and blow the whole thing up if they did the Ja trade though. I’m sure JJJ could fetch a hefty return and some 26-28 picks.

Well. It would be a no-brainer for Bane, but Ja and JJJ are different animals. There is something to think about. If Cedric turns into someone Memphis fans believe he can be, then FO will have the option to build around him rather than Ja. Until it becomes a real option, I am afraid Ja stays as our first franchise superstar, who is unconditionally beloved by the fanbase.

Jaren will hopefully retire a Grizzly. We have no current interest in trading Ja either. These conversations are theoretical but Jaren is the type of player you don’t trade especially not at his current age and contract. 25 year old two way All NBA level and All Defensive team player.

cant keep speaking on how overrated I think Ja is... the league is catching up to inefficient, non spacing, non defensive guards.. (Fox)

Which is why I don’t want Utah to trade for him and if I was Memphis and could get a haul of 8-9 first round picks from them I would do it. Especially if you can do a trade proposed above where you get first round picks from a myriad of teams instead of one. That’s the thing that sucks about the Utah trade for Donovan and Gobert. Both teams are good. If you can diversify your picks from a multitude of teams you are more likely to hit.

That’s my 2 cents.
