Both Tyus and Monte which made zero difference. Stop the insanity.
And neither really got to play or run the offense. Having three very ball dominant players always needing the ball, neither Jones nor Morris really got to do all that much (especially Morris who barely got to play).

I had high hopes for it but ultimately, we had 2 guards who needed to play real minutes and moving them a spot out of position and with Tyus being really undersized just hurt our overall size. On top of that, we mostly used him as a spot-up option alongside the Big 3, so his playmaking ability was barely utilised.

It was a good idea in theory that I supported but it was just a poor fit. The Big 3 could have really used a strong playmaker, but with Tyus struggling to even hold his own defensively and us not taking advantage of his strengths, it just didn’t work out.

All Suns need is for Green to play like Jrue and everything will be fine.

I guess not. Wish we were a 30 win team with no max salary players on our roster. At least it would be a viable excuse to be bad.

30 games is crazy. I just don’t see that happening. Thats going to be a bottom 5 or 6 team in the league if you’re going off last years records.

If you have a max contract player on your roster, anything under 35 wins is unacceptable. Even 35 wins is unacceptable.

Not saying I disagree with you, in fact I agree but Booker needs to shut his mouth too. His mouth ended with him being a national meme with Luka smiling at him.

Our rookies not exactly impressing.

NBA Summer League disappointments: Nets’ draft class, the Pelicans and more
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6512060/2025/07/25/nba-summer-league-disappointments-nets-pelicans/

Khaman Maluach, Suns: Could the Suns have done what Atlanta did and walked away from the draft with an unprotected future first from the Pelicans and the 23rd pick instead of staying at No. 10? Discussion over whether Phoenix fumbled the bag by not taking the New Orleans offer will only heighten if Maluach can’t give the Suns a quality big.

Phoenix opted to take the Duke project, and I’ll emphasize the word “project” here; his was a rough entry to professional basketball. The 7-1 Maluach only posted a 13.5 percent rebound rate, took nearly half his shots from 3 and had one assist in 70 minutes. Watching from courtside made me more concerned about his hands, as contested rebounds and alley-oop opportunities escaped him at times.

This is why I hated this pick. Project players should NEVER be taken top 10! Top 10 players should be able to contribute right away (even at a minimum 15 minutes a game). I said it on draft day, he’s going to bust hard! I’m sticking with that projection. I’m sitting at the table asking to prove me wrong but the only answer i will get is going to be “give him 2 or 3 years”. My retort is “good Luck”!

You are free to believe what you believe (for the record I'm a bit skeptical as well), but you can't really argue the fact that you can't be proven right or wrong for a few years. This is true of ALL draft picks, even more polished young players take quite a while to reach their ceiling. So like...you can be grumpy about that response but that doesn't make it any less true.

Andrew Bynum is the only player I remember being a project who played less that 7 minutes a game his first year as a center who turned into a stud (VERY VERY brief stud because he was out of the league by 27 years old).

Can you think of any centers who barely played their first 2-3 years and turned into studs?

No, this is what the recent former coach told him last year. Also the Beal, be like Jrue thing. Things that alienated him from his players.

I'll take Joel Embiid for $500, Alex.

But if I'm being honest, that's a pretty easy pick. The question is much harder when considering players today as there aren't many that are true centers seeing how much the league and game have changed to one of being somewhat positionless.

He won't. Apparently he's perfectly fine earning max money and being the face of a losing franchise. Take Giannis, despite being loyal player, he still demanded Bucks build a contender around him or he may leave. Jokic too. Booker is not on the level of these players though, more like Lillard-light, so he doesn't have as much power to demand anything or force improvements by treating to leave.

Its been my cynical thought that Booker played the part to get the long term cash and next year will want out.

Yes, I have no proof but the narrative all off-season was Booker wants to be here, he wants to retire a Suns player, he deserves to say whether he gets traded or not (which I thought was all hogwash). My theory was if you can get better, get better. Booker isn't Steph Curry for instance
