I mean we all hate Rudy Gobert, but it’s not a crazy thing for Gobert to make the hof.

Let’s say he plays 4 more seasons, becoming eligible for the hall in 8. He def wouldn’t be a first ballot hof, but let’s say he makes it 5 years after that, so 13 years from now he makes the hall.

My point is, Shaq is 53 right now, which means in 13 years under this scenario we might see a 400lb 66 year old man wear a dress to an NBA hall of fame ceremony.

Actually I'm sure that's all there is to it with Gobert and other players. NBA players are just like regular people, very few are independent thinkers, the majority will just follow the trend. And the trend is to hate Rudy Gobert, so they do.

I will also say, Shaq may have heard people say things like, if Rudy played against Shaq he would’ve been a good Shaq stopper, which his precious lil ego can’t take at all, even though its not true at all and Shaq would’ve dunked Rudy in the net like he did with everyone else
