Won't let it copy one to my drive so I can change the player search, anyone else able to?

Not having much problems. Might have to copy to Google drive. TLDR: the best postseason scorers are:

Jordan: 36 PP 75 on +4%
Shaq: 29 PP 75 on +5%
Bron: 30 PP 75 on +5%
KD: 30 PP 75 on +6%
Steph: 28 PP 75 on +7%
Jokic: 28 PP 75 on +5%

FYI, all the scoring numbers are adjusted for inflation and the efficiency numbers are relative to the TS that the opponent allowed.

These numbers form the best case for LeBron as the 2nd greatest scorer ever imo. Sustaining those figures over the amount of playoff games he’s played .. insane.

(though Kareem’s prime numbers would also be amazing)

I was interested in creating a version that downweighs non-prime and injury years so I
1.Ranked every series by how well a player scored in the series
2. Gave the most weight to a players best scoring series, ever so slightly less weight to their 2nd best scoring series, ever so slightly less weight to their 2nd best scoring series, etc)

Here were the results
MJ 36.5 PP 75 on +5.4 rTS
LeBron 32 PP 75 on +8.2 rTS
Durant 30.1 PP 75 on +7.9 rTS
Curry 29.3 PP 75 on +8.0 rTS
Shaq 30.7 PP 75 on +6.3 rTS
Reggie Miller 26.9 PP 75 on +9.9 rTS
Dirk 28.2 PP 75 on +7 rTS
Kobe 30.2 PP 75 on +3.8 rTS
Kawhi 25.6 PP 75 on +8.6 rTS
Kareem (only post merger) 26.1 PP 75 on +7.2 rTS

Only included guys who've played at least 20 playoff series

Hope hansen isn’t another offensively talented big who’s unplayable on defense and thus never carves a spot outside of the g league. Would be so cool to have a Chinese star again lol even w how ridiculously unlikely it is

The kid impresses me. He’s got great footwork, already showing flashes of great court vision and playmaking instincts, has soft hands and a pretty decent handle for a 7-footer. His jumper is probably the only thing that looks like a visible offensive weakness.

On defense, he’s already more of a rim protector than Jokic ever was. If he can combine that vertical presence with good positioning, awareness and help from his teammates there’s no reason why he can’t look like Brook Lopez on defense.

IMO, the bigger question for him (and bigs in general) is whether he can stay healthy. I don’t think he has any injury history though.

Everything I have learned about Benson Boone has been against my will but seeing Curry singing along and taking a video while front row is gonna firmly keep him out of my top 10 forever.

I have different reasons, but agreed that Benson Boone is not a top 10 musical artist

Joke aside, can you imagine if he somehow made his way onto that team with Harden and Kawhi and Paul et al? That'd be wild to watch for a season. The only way it'd be niftier is if KD had gone there too. Just like a full Dirty Dozen, or maybe R.E.D. type of feel, lol.

I never thought I would see an NBA player labelled Harvard Product. Cheers for Adams.

Random shout to the '03 Mavs for going 49-50 from the line in the WCF Game 1.

I was curious and the Mavs that year had the highest FT% percentage not just that year, but held it until '19-'20 (though they got incredibly close to being dethroned by OKC a few years)

Also reminds me of 2011 WCF G1 with Dirk's 24/24 masterclass: https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201105170DAL.html

I am sure this is more of a nba forums/internet thingh that an actual nba insider/betting odds view

but is interesting how what i have seen in online foruns (whether we mean real gm, social media) people overwhelmingly think luka or jokic will win next year mvp with very few betting on shai (may also be just a raw popularity reason)

This has no inference in the actual mvp race but it seems to show to me that despite his ring/mvp win and okc being easy favorites to win best record again, many nba fans seem to perceive it as...flukey? Is specially odd how much more people i see voting luka as mvp (not because he is not good enough but because lakers are much less likely to have the kind of record needed to stand out)

Seems a bit odd specially because a lot of comments i see are already talking about "voter fatigue" while voting for jokic

SGA would be my pick for most likely.

Edwards my pick for best bet given current odds.

+200 SGA
+230 Jokic
+700 Doncic
+1000 Giannis
+1700 Wembanyama
+2000 Edwards
+3000 Cunningham

Others +5000 or above per oddsshark.

I'm going with Jokic #4 after he lost with such a good season this year.
