heard this song the other day and reminded me of the Pub Rock scene growing up.
Almost every pub had a band playing songs like this every weekend when I was growing up.

while im still in a reminiscing mood. this song was about a road in Perth Bon used to have to always drive down after gigs. Of course he would have been drunk and probably lucky to make it home.

RIP Brian Wilson. Studio genius. Anyone the least bit interested in the Beach Boys should check out the documentary on Disney plus. Was an interesting watch.

My favorite thing about Wilson is him being obsessed with "shortenin bread" and thinking it was the best song of all time.

I had never heard that version of shortening bread. Honestly that was kind of awesome. I loved the low end sound with a lot fuzz. not quite sure what they use to get that sound but I'm sure they spent a lot of time on it in the studio. Curious if that's during the wrecking ball days

Been revisiting one of my favorite folk-blues albums. I once hung out with Bill Morrissey at a bar outside Hartford Ct. Went with one of his exes to see his show, he sat and drank with us afterward. You couldn't believe that voice came out of him. Just a great songwriter. At the time he really did have the blues over the end of his marriage to wife Ellen, you could hear his love for her in Ellen's Tune below. Bill died in 2011 officially of heart disease but all the damage was done from drink. I'm glad Letter From Heaven is funny, hope he really is dating Patsy Cline and buying Robert Johnson a beer.

This is the best new jazz album I have heard in a long time, no doubt the best of the year. There's a reason some are calling him the Japanese Coltrane. Instant classic.
