I don't think he's getting traded anymore

Not for a rental.

I dunno anymore man. Yesterday broke me.

It really sucks but we don’t really learn our lessons. There was too much arrogance on the part of Hal, Cashman, and Boone.

This loss isn’t as bad as the way we messed up a potentially historic loss in the World Series with Gerrit Cole. But back then, several Dodgers players leaked their internal scouting reports and basically called us out. Cashman’s only rebuttal was to defend himself, not to take that criticism to heart and improve. That’s why this loss sucks to me. It’s stuff we’ve seen over and over again.

LA clowned us over our dog sh*t basic fundamentals and yet nothing has been done to correct the problems.

It's easy to beat us just put the ball in play consistently and we will collapse.

Depends on the prospect. I was lowkey hoping for the Yankees to get Munetaka Murakami, but ah well. Feel like the Yankees have wanted this dude forever.

this screams assman trying to be the smartest nerd in the room again.

should've gone for the big swinging dick like the boss would've done.

The boss probably would have had that hole filled with Machado a long time ago tbh.

I feel like any owner who really wanted to win would not let himself enter a season with such a glaring hole in the infield. Yankees do that all the time.

They don’t spend, they promise moves at the trade deadlines, teams note their desperation and try to scam them, and then the Yankees don’t make the deal. The solution here is not for the Yankees to get scammed, but to spend when it makes sense. It’s all fake hustle from Hal. We all know that trade deadline moves are expensive as hell.

Now we’re going to avoid spending in the off-season again, in the same way Hicks, Donaldson, and a bunch of stop gaps stopped us from spending. We’ll try to go into the next trade deadline looking for reinforcements, only to balk at the price.

The Old Man would have sent Brian packing 10 years ago. And that's being generous

He seems solid defensively which does address a need, but this dude was hitting like dog sh*t in Coors Field so I can only imagine how this will go

It could have turned out worse because with Suarez, the Diamondbacks are basically trying to scam someone, so at least the Yankees didn't make matters worse by giving up a really good prospect to make up for their cheapness in the offseason. This is all foreseeable, too. Yankees should have fixed this **** earlier instead of going into a trade deadline with this type of **** plan at 3B, only a few sellers, and a few desperate ass teams with strong farm systems hunting the same 34-year old rental player. Don't end up in a position where you're this desperate at the trade deadline.

By the way, the Brewers have an extremely cheap third baseman who is a pest, gets on base, is hard to strike out, and an ability to play defense all over the infield: Caleb Durbin. Super cheap too.

MacMahon seems solid...him being a great defender at 3B probably helps Boone and Cashman cover up for Volpe. Sounds like he might benefit from being away from Coors, but who knows.

I said it before and will say it again: That 5 game winning streak was the worst thing to happen to the Yankees. It gave both fans and the front office false hope. And now instead of being sellers at the deadline like they should be Cashman is doing exactly what he has been doing every season for the past 15 years and that is look for band aid solutions to a flawed and poorly constructed roster.

The thing is this is actually a good trade the problem is there are just too many broken parts to the operation or lack there of. Should made the big acquisitions a long time ago in FA.

Team wasn't embarrassed or even motivated after the embarrassing game 5, this is after the Dodgers talked smack about their lack of fundamentals.

The attitude by the Yankees was we don't need to make any changes we'll be fine because we're the Yankees we will come out of the AL, no you're not fine. We know the injury excuses will be there, losing Cole you can take as an excuse to not win the World Series but it's no excuse to be throwing games the way they are.

Hal Steinbrenner is like a 1970's slum lord watching his building burn down while getting richer in the process.

Judge is down for 10 days and Boone said Stanton will be playing in right field.

Might as well put Giancarlo on the IL now.
