What good is WAR if you are barely hitting .200, while striking out a tonne on a consistent basis? Varsho has power, but is also hitting .174 right now over 6 games in the minor leagues like someone else mentioned. I love his defense, but this team took off right when he got injured.

It is not a coincidence this team started playing so well, when two guys like Santander and Varsho (struggling to hit .200 all year, poor On Base numbers, and striking out a tonne) got hurt. Varsho can start against Righties, and be a Late Inning Defender when he comes back. Utilize him in a Myles Straw role. Have him hit 9th. He should not be an automatic Starter right away. Having Straw on this roster for late inning defense makes Varsho less necessary. I would prefer to trade Varsho (looking around 10 million next year), but I doubt this organization will do that.

If you’re the best power hitter, defender and baserunner on the team as Varsho is, it counts for quite a lot it turns out.

They’re not utilizing one of the best players in the majors in a Myles Straw role, he’ll he playing every day when he returns this week.

You used to call Varsho the MVP before he went down. It sure doesnt look that way lmao

lol best power hitter based on a 24 game sample size?

Led the team in HRs prior to his injury in 24 games, yeah

He's a -0.1 in BSR in the same 24 games, so how would that make him our best baserunner?

Tommy Nance? Well, that's certainly one way to go. At least it's against 6-7-8 in the lineup.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I missed the game yesterday and news yesterday and today.

Is Little out? Or did he pitch yesterday?

There was some concern when he didn't pitch a few days ago.

Led the team in WAR before he went down, oh he’s definitely the MVP. Will be adding our most valuable player back this week (especially if Kirk is concussed)

This team is the best in history clearly, dominating without an MVP candidate even playing.

Small sample size, check his career baserunning numbers
