This Jays team is playing like a Team of Destiny. Incredible to watch this team play everyday. A joy I have not had since August/September 2015, where I felt this Jays team was never out of it.

It’s a tacit concession of him being a fantastic addition to the team

whatever helps fit your narrative

It’s no narrative

Not really good anymore but when I was looking at the D-Backs roster a few days ago, I saw Grichuk as a potential last resort for a RHB addition to balance the roster.

I thought about him as a RHB we could trade for but he’s sort of trash

I gather the Royals aren’t selling now?

If the Royals go 1-3 in the next 4 games they may well flip him on deadline day.
I assume it didn't cost them much.

I think he's an upgrade over Jimenez on the 26 man, and probably better than any RHB we have in AAA.
But not much of an upgrade either. I assume we can find someone similar in the last resort scenario.

That Bo Bichette AB against Skubal was insanely good

Pretty poor fielder these days and he’s having a down year offensively, definitely could be washed at his age

I didn’t want him

Deoth guys like Lukes, Lauer, Heineman have really helped the team. And there is more of them. Lately its been low level relievers getting it done in leverage.

Just a really well balanced roster. They execute defensively on average so much better than our opponents night to night.

To pull this out after the Vladdy gaff and Springer gaff, is impressive.

To give them credit, they contributed to multiple runs later on

That inning probably got him out of the game two innings early.

What about trading Loperfido or Roden in a straight prospect trade, for a similar OF who bats right handed and can play MLB now. Its not going to be a grade A prospect in return, just a baseball trade for an OF of similar calibre. There has to be a team that has the opposite issue of the Jays and has an imbalance on the other side of the plate.

Is that a way we can balance the roster, or should we even consider it. Chemistry?

I was watching SC last night and they led with the Jays over their precious CFL product, have no choice at this point

That is a good idea. I would deal guys like Clase, Roden, etc. I would prefer to keep Loperfido, but would only trade him for someone that has multi years of control and has great potential.

I enjoyed their broadcast lol. Very chill.

They still have a huge lead in the weak central, they can make changes at the deadline so not time to panic for them

He wasnt seeing another inning regardless. Tigers run their team like the rays. Gone are the days a pitcher is allowed to pitch into the 7th
