What player are you happy ended their career with a title?

Post#1 » by Iwasawitness » Yesterday 4:54 am

The unfortunate reality of sports is that not everyone is going to win a championship. Some luck into it, some don't. In the end, it's the ultimate goal.

So what players are you glad were able to win the ultimate prize? Whether it be as the top guy, a roleplayer or someone who just literally rode the bench to success?

Two guys I am incredibly happy to see win a title were Jason Kidd and Ben Wallace.

Was pretty thrilled with Dirk's title in 2011, and that it happened to include Jason Kidd was nice.

Dirks is definitely an all time feel good story. There aren't many in sports that can top that.

Dirk in 2011 is probably the happiest I've ever been for a non-Bucks player winning the title/FMVP. After 2006 and 2007 it did so much for his reputation as a player and place among the greats historically.

Gary Payton with 2006 Heat. Didn't love the title itself, because of the Wade Whistle, but was glad he got one.

Glad to see Marc Gasol get one for how he was during the parade alone.

David Robinson is another one I was glad got a ring.

Serge Ibaka is another name I forgot to mention. Him having a title will always bring me joy.

Dirk and Giannis. Especially the latter since the media was trying to run him out of Milwaukee for years.

Dirk. And KD actually, although he is a terrible GM as per the other thread.

And Shawn Marion. Those Suns absolutely deserved a title.

And Peja got his ring as well. 2011 was just a feel-good story.

I'm surprised no one's said Jeremy Lin yet.
