To his credit he did get it working but unfortunately it was built upon a glue guy in Lonzo that made everything work and he used up all the glue keeping it together there was none left for Lonzo to keep his body together.
I don't mind him as a coach but I don't understand why the extension needed to happen now?
The Knicks wanted to interview him to replace Thibs and i suspect a few other teams over the next season will be looking for a new coach.
Unfortunately I think Chicago in your current position is better off tanking for a decent lotto pick, but Donovan is too good a coach to allow that to happen.
The Bulls ownership ambitions is way different to most Bulls fans expectations (aka making the play in every year is good enough) and this is why Chicago is in an never ending cycle of mid tier mediocrity/no man's land.
However, it would have been interesting if you 'won' the pre lotto coin toss with Dallas, which would have resulted in the Bulls getting pick 1/Cooper Flagg.
That really would have been a franchise changer for the Bulls
