This.

lol at scranton propping lebron up over Durant as a scorer, by the way.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

I never said that LeBron was a better scorer than Durant in this thread. I clearly argued that LeBron was better than Kobe. You're the absolute king at getting things wrong. It's honestly impressive. You must get some type of enjoyment from it.

Wilt and MJ are the greatest scorers.
Below them i can list many names in no particular order. I think Kobe is top10.

We’ve seen how much he excels at reading comprehension in the Djokovic and Goat threads. Take it easy on him.

That’s exactly where I have him as well, though Wilt’s my second.

And in terms of skills, technique, Kobe’s only second to Jordan. That’s not even debatable from what I’ve seen.

Easily in the top 10, with a outside shot at top 5 due to self creation ability and post season resilience

So far in the poll, 38% say Kobe was just the 10th best or lower scorer in NBA history.

Not even player, the 10th best or lower scorer.

The Kobe hate around here is astonishing.

It’s kind of a basketball intelligence litmus test when you compare LeBron and Kobe as scorers and see who ends up picking Kobe.

Kobe has basically no case over LeBron as a scorer outside of the haters’ eye test and reputation. Especially when looking at the playoffs.

This place is unserious, man. These polls are obviously just rage bait threads. Kobe scored 40 or more points in 9 consecutive games in February 2003 in the middle of the dead-ball era. In terms of ORtg that season was the 7th lowest all-time, and Kobe's scoring rampage would be roughly the equivalent of somebody scoring 45 in nine straight games in today's watered down defensive league. Imagine if Luka, Jokic, or Shai posted FORTY-FIVE POINTS in nine straight in 2026. You would never hear the end of it. Social media would explode. The basketball world would have a collective meltdown, never be the same, and people would rightfully argue that player is the same level as Jordan.

He did it with a 60% TS% nonetheless. Super impressive. But we're really using a 9 game sample size to make a point? That ain't it. What's next, we putting Jeremy Lin in the top 100 scorers because he average 25 ppg over Linsanity?

Why aren't you complaining about the people ranking him #1? That's easily more egregious than ranking him #10 or lower. Ranking him 2-3 is egregious as well. Where are your complaints about that?

Pretty much. He has absolutely no case over MJ or LeBron. I haven't done a deep comparison to Kobe vs KD, but on the surface I don't think he has a good case for being above KD.

Depends on how to you define scorer I guess.

If its just volume & efficiency, likely ard top 12.

If its volume, efficiency & variety, then maybe top 5.
