Maxi and Gabe for Nikola Vucevic ... Bulls could look for buying out Vuc, why not do something like this at least this way Bulls get something rather then nothing.

Chicago would require some kind of incentive, but sure.

It looks like the Wolves are after Brogdon for the vet min. But then they would have 5 rotational backcourt players in the roster (Conley, Ant, Donte, Rob and Brogdon).

I wonder if they really plan to trade Donte. Lakers was interested. They would save around $30m in real money replacing Donte for Brogdon.

With how much Conley and brogdon is probably going play . It’s probably more like 4.25 rotational players instead.

Rest Conley more and brogdon can take those minutes when he rest and find a way for that .25 via some other way.

But Conley played 76 and 71 games last 2 seasons.

Brogdon played very little last 2 seasons. But he was playing for tanking teams that do not push vets to play. In a contender, he should play more games. I don't know how severe his health condition is.

Anyway, the Wolves can save around 30M by trading DDV, who may be left out of the normal rotation. There are rumors that they are considering it. I don't know if its true.

DDV is already a bargain at 10 mill. Be pretty crazy to move him (and i dont think the Lakers have enough picks to justify giving up a 1st for him that he's worth).

He's their 2nd best backcourt player. Theyre better off figuring out a way to dump Conley if theyre gonna get another old vet guard

Aim is to rest Conley more since he’s like 37 years old now. You want to make sure he’s rested abit for the playoffs. Not because he have injuries risk etc.

Yes, while the fall off in Conley’s game has been exaggerated with his bad wrist last year, he is still 37, and Dillingham has a lot of learn, so there is room for Brogdan to get PG minutes.

I would also add that the Towns trade was done for financial reasons, and to get DiVincenzo for three cheap seasons. He under-performed that wonderful Knicks finish, but I think the Wolves see him as a key piece for the next two years, particularly if he can regain his form. He fits well closing games next to Ant.

Can't quite get the peripheral value on this right. I feel like PHX and LAL maybe owe a bit more?

PHX trades: Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, 2027 PHX/MIN/UTA 1st (worst), 2032 PHX 1st (swap, UTA receives higher of UTA/PHX 1st, PHX receives lower)
in: Lauri Markkanen
Phoenix gets a second option for Booker. Booker - Allen - O'neale - Lauri - Williams.

UTA trades: Lauri Markkanen
in: Jalen Green, Gabe Vincent, Maxi Kleber, Adou Thiero, 2027 PHX/MIN/UTA 1st (worst), 2032 PHX 1st (swap, UTA receives higher of UTA/PHX 1st, PHX receives lower), protections removed from 2027 LAL 1st
Utah gets a bunch of expiring money for Lauri, gets a prospect I like in Thiero, rolls the dice on Green (I know, unpopular), adds a first, a high-value swap, and removes the protections from the 2027 1st LAL owes us (1-4 protected).

LAL trades: Gabe Vincent, Maxi Kleber, Adou Thiero, protections removed from 2027 LAL 1st
in: Dillon Brooks
LAL adds another POA defender. Reaves - Brooks - Luka - LeBron - Ayton.

100% in for the lakers

Feels like we’re stealing value here

Can add a swap in 2030 and a 2nd?

Can add Knecht instead if needed, but may want a 2nd back to use in another deal

For Exum, he already agreed to sign and is waiting for a roster spot (and space under the Apron) to clear.

I don't think we'd be super interested in Knecht, but a 2030 swap is really interesting.

Lakers can give 26 1st and turn 271st into unprotected swap with 2nd worst of UTA/CEL/MIN in 27.

I like that quite a bit, too. Should help LA put in terms of future flexibility, too.

Feels like an overpay for LA tbh, bit they might do it. But digging their hole of older players deeper. And im not sure dillon is the kind of guy luka gets along with, feels like grant williams style
