Surprising sign. But they had all that money to spend and someone's gotta take it.

Holden's super interesting. Seems the Brewers drafted him as a pitcher, but he also played 3B and 1B and can rake too.

So which rounds did they end up with? 11, 17, 18, 19, 20?

.870 OPS in rookie ball. Obviously rooting for the kid and it'll be fun to see him in Carolina next year.

New Fangraphs Mid-Season Top 100

#2 - Made

Made’s shortstop defense is getting better and might be really great at peak. He’s one of the best pure athletes in the minors, and has ridiculous range and body control. You could argue for any of Made, Griffin, and Walcott to be no. 1.

#45 - Pena
#54 - Pratt

Players in this cluster either have great feel for contact but only fair power (Willits for now, Pratt, Ingle, Keaschall, Benge), or are more balanced hitters with issues on defense (Arroyo, Reimer, also Keaschall). Peña’s underlying hit data is exceptional, but his defense has regressed compared to his spring look.

#79 - Henderson
#93 - Quero

Went to a Mudcats game last week and watching Made and Pena live was incredible. Payne was the real deal speed-wise as well.

Obvious one-game caveat but Pena was more impressive physically/athletically than Made. But happy to have both :)

I tuned in when I saw it was tied up in the 9th. Went to extra innings. Wisconsin gave up a run in the 11th but the Rattlers scored two in the bottom half with Burke getting the walkoff.
