Can Paolo Banchero play Center?

You do realise that Banchero now is larger than 3rd-year D12-Howard, right? That said, the Magic drafted Howard to be a PF, so what do I know.

Howard has like a 7'6" wingspan.

Howard was a more dynamic athlete than Paolo! Paolo is more skilled than Howard though!

Pretty much agree.

Paolo is more skilled offensively then Howard overall. I think that one is easy. This is one of those, "if Paolo had Howards level of defensive instinct" he would be an MVP candidate right now.

WCJ is maybe not an exciting player, but he is a solid defensive guy. Much better than Paolo on that end. Also Paolo would lose the size advantage he has most of the time at PF

Probably better at small forward than center.

We also learned last year when he got a technical in street clothes for arguing calls that Paulo would make a great player/coach as well.

I agree 1000%! Defensive is all about effort, he has the ability. If he could play with more intensity on the defensive end and play more around the basket on offense, the league is on trouble

My original point: it is very common for PFs late in their career to transfer to C.

Thus: Banchero is now a PF for the foreseeable future (with some SF minutes), but late in his career, sure he can projected to log C minutes.

You can't teach Howards level of instinct and drive. This is what made Dwight a generational player of his caliber. A mere simple fact that if Dwight made free throws then even with his bombastic personality I do not think he gets snubbed as one of the greatest players of all time.

Also him making free throws at a better clip might also have won a championship as "hack a Howard" strategy gets removed.

Its not bad as a situational curveball. I think the offense can be really good with him at the 5.
