Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles, July 28-30

Post#1 » by JaysRule15 » Mon Jul 28, 2025 5:34 pm

Four game series, double-header and it's gonna be hot as well. Orioles are pretty bad this year but usually play us tough. But hopefully we win 3 outta 4. Last series before the trade deadline too, so hopefully we get some upgrades shortly.

Apparently needs 2 weeks worth of rehab games to re-learn how to play the game of baseball. Absurd.

I think it's more to do with temperatures at Baltimore being close to 50 degrees. They probably don't want to bring back a guy coming off a hamstring strain into conditions like that.

I have PTSD from all these Orioles hitters owning us. No idea how they're so bad this year.

Bassitt probably has Laureano struck out twice there looking with Kirk at catcher.

Seems to be all facets of the game:

Hitting — 18th in wRC+, 19th in OPS.
Pitching — 27th in both ERA and FIP
Fielding — 22nd in DRS, 22nd in OAA, 25th in Fangraphs defensive metric.

Doesn't matter how bad they're going, these guys just own us.

I get the pitching and fielding part, but there are some really good hitters in this lineup. A ton of power.
