Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
I might be crazy and need to do more research but if KPJ improves I think he can have a Cade Cunningham type season. I don't think he will have the usg amount of Cade to get the points and assists but I think he could come close. If things go well he could be a 22/7/7 guy on 56% or above true shooting. The issue will be can he keep the turnovers down. Cade and KPJ are two turnover prone guys. Hopefully, KPJ can break out and keep the turnovers down.

How do you forget a guy who scored 83 points in a pro-am?
I'd have to Google it... did we abbreviate his name with capital letters from his initials? That's usually a safe bet

Does anyone know if giving player options gives us some kind of extra benefit like bird rights or anything.

Carlisle spanked Doc the whole series.

Don't think there's a good excuse for struggling to inbound more than once. There's something to be said about riding the horse that brought you but also something to be said for using the appropriate tool for the job.
Right.. at a certain point in that game you can just hold the ball and either run clock or make them foul you. That's lack of coaching and not knowing your players are low IQ to the point of not overcoaching them.
Yeah, but also, this is the kind of judgment call that every coach gets wrong sometimes. I always think about Pop taking Timmeh off the floor for the FT miss that resulted in Ray's iconic 3. I get why he did it but I disagreed with it at the time and it worked out as badly as it possibly could have.
There are merits to putting faster guys on the floor for an inbounds. And, to be fair, they could have found a way to deny Brook. Would have been harder, imo.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Yeah sorry, Gary Trent pulling a Bill Buckner, 86% career FT shooter AJ Green not hitting both free throws with 40-seconds left, Porter getting tunnel vision at the end of regulation (Giannis too TBF), and then not rotating quick enough to contest on the final possession where Hali gets an easy layup, etc. As much as I'd like to blame Doc for everything, sometimes it really is on the players to, you know, not **** up spectacularly. Doc did what everyone wanted to do and rode that 5-man lineup into the dirt. That wasn't gonna be sustainable for an entire series, but Game 5 was there if the guys on the court don't crap all over themselves.

So it may have been sustainable for the whole series because without that debacle the Bucks would have played game 6 at home. They throttled the Pacers in game 3 at home. And in game 4 that was a combo of the jumbo lineup digging a hole + the deflation from Dame's injury.
We'll never know what would have transpired in that series if the game 5 lineup had played the whole way & they got that late historic collapse out of the way. Or if there wouldn't have been as much pressure w/ the series on the line. But maybe the Indy voodoo would have remained undefeated. I think it would have against OKC even if Hali hadn't gotten injured mid-series & then ultimately in the finale.

I wonder if Miami would trade us Jaime Jaquez Jr for Jackson & Smith now that JJJ is buried even further down the depth chart.

If they pick up the option then it’s an extra year towards Bird rights, but it’s mainly a way to incentivize players to sign a min here versus somewhere else because they get protection in case of injury, lack of playing time, or trade that they have the option they control to get another few million.

If a post-draft year with Mega is good enough for Jokic...

I just can’t see whatever the Kings think they are doing working out well and hope the Bucks find a way to take advantage.

This isn't all that surprising because there were whispers about Carter and Monk departing even before the stories revolving around Westbrook. When Schroder joined the team, the whispers grew louder. While the Kings want a lot of help at the point guard position, there can be too much of a good thing, and all signs have been pointing to Carter and Monk leaving.

He figured put the lineups better last year than the year b4... but I mean there was a play in OT where Hali was left wide open and we were up a good #... Hali was taking like 85% of the shots and we left him wide? We gave them like 3 or 4 possessions in the last 32 seconds ... I just mean. a stronger voice.. wtf is he doing.
What's your contention? He's average? Above average? Do you think he understands we arent really a veteran team?

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
The Bucks explored potential trades for Smart and the Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins with the aid of Pat Connaughton‘s expiring $9.4MM contract. They instead dealt him to Charlotte for two future second-round picks.

Don't have article but didn't think there was the cap space to absorb $16-$18 million (thought closer to $14). With all the minimum contracts not sure how either of those deals could work with Kuzma and other players
