Looks amazing but COLD!

Yeah, its Lake Blanca. A friend and I were planning on going to the gothic basin to grab a peak(Vesper or del Campo) but it was supposed to rain and we try to avoid 3/4 class scrambling in the rain. So we switched it up to a lake hike. Soft family men we've become. we were both blown away by how gorgeous it was.

Alpine lakes are always cold but im one of those weirdos who only takes cold showers. so I can hang. I feel the need to defend myself by stating I dont know of any weird health benefits except I no longer get eczema. And it honestly feels good after long days on trail. Another side benefit is I can hang in colder weather better. But moreso, I like to make myself suffer so it falls in line with other life choices I make. Like choosing to be a knicks fan.
