I'd trade whoever we can for D. Fox.. that '31 pick and the poo platter enough?

Budenholzer probably makes this team a top 5 defense. There is a real opportunity to make some noise this year with a defense first identity and there is plenty of offense to be top 15. I just think the coaching staff is braindead and we'll end up with 44-46 wins instead.

Trade for a PG who can't shoot and doesn't defend? So we can take the ball or off Giannis hands?
Awful, we've been there before. It's alosing strategy.

Buds is washed dude. Buds Suns defense was a joke
Bucks defense matched it's talent level last year. It was a good defense when Dame was off the floor. Brook really hurt it down the stretch.

When Schroder joined the team, the whispers grew louder. While the Kings want a lot of help at the point guard position, there can be too much of a good thing, and all signs have been pointing to Carter and Monk leaving.

We really need the Kings to move on from their Kumminga pursuit to we can do this deal. Devin Carter is a great PG for next to Giannis.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Carter would be a fun dart to throw. Obviously, his swing skill will be shooting. If he can get to upper thirties consistently, he could have a Derrick White like impact for someone with the way he can get after it at point of attack defensively. Especially, on a team with another primary ball handler/play maker at another position.
I do worry about that shot though. If he was a really good FT, you might feel better about it, but he’s average (at best) for a guard there.

Idk why you'd expect the Suns defense to be good given thier roster... Our current roster is setup near perfectly for Bud.

The Suns defense was solid the previous season.

Does Malik Monk have a market? I've been having a hard time finding a destination for him.
Monk will get $18M next year, $20M the following, and has a player option at $21M for 2027-28 when he'll be 29 years old.
It was easier to imagine the Bucks compromising on his bad defense before we picked up Cole Anthony.
Alternatively: would the Bucks swap Kuz for DeRozan if we get Devin Carter in addition?
DeRozan is owed $24M next year but the following only has $10M guaranteed out of $25M for 2026-27 when he'll be 37 years old.
What'll be more valuable come draft day with our package of picks: Kuzma on a $20M ending contract, or DeRozan as a vehicle for a team to open up $15M in cap space?
DeRozan played 77 games last year and put up about 22, 4 and 4 in 36 mins per shooting 47% from the field and 32% from 3.
Or we send him to another team at the outset. DeMar at best is a suspect fit with our youth movement prioritizing speed, shooting and defense.

Does anybody like to draft guards in the lottery and dump them immediately more than the Kings? Like are they doing a bit?

If you can somehow snag Devin Carter with a Kuzma/Monk or DeRozan trade then you absolutely do it even if Carter can't shoot a lick. Crazy how the Kings had that one fun season and now they're right back to being the Kangz.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Mavs get Malik Monk and clear a roster spot/2nd apron room to complete the Exum deal.
Kings get Kuzma after giving up on Kuminga.
Bucks get a wing/s from Mavs and take on extra salary and a roster spot or two (waiving Ajax and/or Smith).
Bucks take on a combo of Naji Marshall, Caleb Martin, Max Christie, and Marquette alum Olivier-Maxence Prosper.
Martin was horrific for Dallas last year and has a long term deal. Idk how to rate Christie but he’s also got a bunch more years.
Depending which we take on maybe we snag Devin Carter too.
Backcourt could turn into lord of the flies with young guys fighting for clock but Horst/Doc could just go for talent and see who develops.

You want a small pg who doesn't defend or shoot well next to Giannis? A player who is already 23 y/o. If he is thrown in okay but he is not making the playing rotation.

Devin Carter can't shoot yet (and maybe never), but defense is literally his selling point. He's also not "small".

I can take a non shooting guard who plays terrific defense, but he better be pretty switchable and at 6'2", Devin Carter is not the guy.

Not a surprise Markovic heading back to Serbia. Hopefully gets stronger and can join team next year
Not a surprise he's going back overseas (and I'm admittedly not super knowledgeable about how that whole structure works) but would have liked to seem him latch on to a bigger squad in Euroleague and see what he can do against higher level competition.
