I just don't know if the knee will ever be right again. Jo is a big dude, and at this point, his knee has got to be pretty much screwed. I hope I'm wrong. I hope he can play pain-free and go out there and give us 60 games plus a postseason run. It would be awesome if that were to happen. I don't see it though. I think this is going to linger, and he's going to struggle. If he can manage to keep healthy, it'll be because he has slowed down. In that case, it'll be time to defer to Maxey and the young guys.

Take your time Joel take your time. I completely understand what he means about trust issues. You have your GM jump through elaborate hoops to paint you in a negative light. Then later on you have team meeting talks leaked. I'd have trust issues too. One thing I did like in this piece was that his relationship with Maxey is seems to be solid. The east is wide open. If this team is going to do anything there is no need for Joel to be the focal point from day one. Let this team grow without him and we will see come closer to playoff time where exactly things stand.

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)
