Not a surprise Markovic heading back to Serbia. Hopefully gets stronger and can join team next year

Not a surprise he's going back overseas (and I'm admittedly not super knowledgeable about how that whole structure works) but would have liked to seem him latch on to a bigger squad in Euroleague and see what he can do against higher level competition.

Mega is a great developmental team. They know what they're doing. It's a great spot for him.

Indeed, it's part of their long-term business model to develop, and transfer players to the NBA. They're run by a sports agency. It's in their vested interest to see Markovic succeed for us. If he doesn't, it's cuz he doesn't have the talent...which he probably doesn't.

You think Naji Marshall is a Kuzma lite?

Impression was he'd be a starter here maybe even long term if his shooting improves.

Caleb Martin might be cooked with 3 years to go on his deal so not arguing there. Max Christie at least he's young but if he sucks his long term contract is a negative. Olivier-Maxence Prosper the Mavs are paying someone to take on.

Devin Carter is the wild card. If the Bucks see him as a distressed asset defensive specialist with potential that'd be different than a bust the Kings should be bailing on.

We really need the Kings to move on from their Kumminga pursuit to we can do this deal. Devin Carter is a great PG for next to Giannis.

You want a small pg who doesn't defend or shoot well next to Giannis? A player who is already 23 y/o. If he is thrown in okay but he is not making the playing rotation.

He shot well his final college season, and then shot 38% from 3 in the G League last year. I don't think the destiny of his shooting has been decided yet.

He's a terrific defender with a 6'9" wingspan.

Hopefully his number is reflective of the impact he has on this season for the Bucks.

Hopefully he has a positive impact cuz that would help us win more games and be able to trade him/picks for what we need more, a 2nd option.

0 impact is solid, I’d be fine with Kuzma being jag. A grossly overpaid jag but at least not a negative impact player.

There was a time when people thought Kuz and Jayson Tatum were neck and neck as far as talent goes. I'm sure the Lakers uniform had ton to do with that, but still.

Don't get me wrong I've appreciated your posts on Kuzma even aside from the cognitive dissonance factor!

I agree it's not so hard to envision him being just fine as an athletic backup 4.

Yes Kuz will spaz out way too often but this is also a team who's been trotting out dead man walking lineups for years now too.

Tatum played like a moron for quite a while. Fadeaway long 2’s for absolutely no reason. Poor decision making. Once he started shooting more 3’s and less long 2’s he took a big leap. Prior to that he was basically Rudy Gay 2.0

Kuzma was right there with him those first two seasons. Year 3 is when it clicked for Tatum.

That 22 number is a nice coincidental icing on the cake.

No, used on KPJ and either Trent or Harris, not sure which.

I think it was only KPJ. The others were had w/ minimums, including Trent, who they used non-bird rights on to enable 20% more.

So they should have about 3.6m left of their room exception. Not much different than a minimum, but unlike that can be used for a trade. And I think that applies up until the midseason trade deadline, so they could save it to be used at a more opportune time.

Bolded lies the issue that Kuz truthers seem to ignore. Between GA, BP, and Turner all minutes at the 4/5 are already delegated. Any scraps or times when any of those three are out Sims can fill in. Kuz is a third string PF behind the best player in the world and one of the better bench players in the league.

He’s useful only when either GA or Bobby are out. And even then, you could make the case for throwing minutes to Prince as a stretch four because at least he can hit open threes.
