One pending deal that must happen is one of OMax, Powell or Hardy to be dumped and opening space for Exum.

I really think they should open the spot for Nembhard. Exum is a waste and the other 2 are not rotatational

Nembhard is eligible for 2-way, Exum isn't...

Understood, but what happens if he proves he belongs, it would have to be converted into a regular contract. Then someone has to go anyways.

Don't worry, there is no rush to sign Nembhard right now. They can do the same as they did with BWill. Test him out a bit then clear a roster spot if needed.

The projects, Nembhard and BWill are nice. If one turns out nice, who knows, he can be this generation's JJ Bare.

Back then we had Eddie Najera as the fan fave.

BWill and PJ are my 2 favorite Mavs players. I kept saying for Kidd to play him more from the start of the season. Then basically because of all the injuries BWill was finally able to showcase his talent. He reminds me a bit of Jamal Crawford. Can come in the game and score quick 15-20pts and go back to the bench :D

I believe Nembhard can play in up to 50 games this year. As long as the Mavs don’t have a ton of injuries like last year 50 games should be good for his development.

This is our alpha man. The NBA is so scared!

If Nembhard will play 50 games we will be a lottery team. Again.

I have developed a whole new perspective on BWill after the Luka trade. I was especially shocked by hos athleticism and ability to score. Would not surprise me if he ends up outplaying DLo and ends up getting the Lion's share of PG PT.

That's a good point and one of the reasons i don't like DLo signing. BWill should absolutely be given priority. Both can go on a heater but i trust BWill way more at this point and also his defense and BBall IQ is better than DLo's.

DAL receives: K. Anderson
UTA receives: Powell + Hardy + Omax + PHI 2030 SRP

DAL gets a good playmaking big wing in Slo-Mo. He's always been a winning player in every situation he's been in. Opens space to sign Exum and either K. Edwards or Kai Jones and also gives DAL a trade chip at the TDL since his last year is non-guaranteed and is a solid mid-sized contract.

UTA takes a swing at Hardy and Omax while getting another possibly good SRP (which they seem to be collecting).

That is most likely the type of deal they will make to open a roster spot. Maybe not that particular deal, but something similar sending Hardy and OMax out for veteran insurance. Hopefully they wont have to send a pick.

Yes that's one of the possibile minor moves to open a roster spot... Unfortunately Hardy& O-Max have negative value right now so lose a pick it's almost automatic.

Kidd should move AD to the bench the first time he is out for more than 4 straight games. This team simply cannot become too reliant on him if he isnt reliable and I'd rather let the younger guys get the development minutes.

Missing a ton of games is a chemistry and morale killer. Just ask Sixers fans and the frustrations they've been through during the Embiid years.

If Mavs wanted to just open an extra roster spot for Exum, they would have already paid cash considerations to dump either Powell or Prosper into space.
Ihmo they are waiting for late August to make something bigger than that, just a gut feeling.

They are only 1,583,638$ below 2nd apron. Not a lot of wiggle room. I think they'll end up waiving someone. OMax would indeed be the ideal target for that.

Yeah stretch provision is another valid option, I hope not cause stretching player is always the last resort imho, no matter how little the salary is.
