I had a feeling Dunn was being asked for

Knowing Ishbia’s track record, he will fold and include Dunn for the overrated and low basketball IQ Kuminga. It’s how Ishbia works.

Then Gambo will make a convenient excuse for the poor trade and Evan will hype it as the Suns had to give up Dunn to get the “star” that Kuminga will be for the Suns.

It’s the circle of life.

If we get Kuminga, we're going to give up at least one of Allen/O'neal. So whatever we pay him likely won't put us back in the 1st apron. I'm sure they are going to do whatever they can to not be a repeater tax team this year so that resets too.

Also, if we included Dunn, I fully believe the trade would have already been completed.
They know what is on the table. If they don't bite, Kuminga probably takes the QO and they have a disgruntled player on their team this season and lose him for nothing the next.

I’m cool with this trade but is GS? I think GS hangs up the phone, they are being hardheaded BUT the fact is GS doesn’t value Kuminga at $20 million a year. They value him at around $7-10 a year. Hmmmm I wonder why.

Keep Richards.
Nah, dump him at the trade deadline

I agree on the Richards dump at trade deadline, but keep him now. Get Maluach minutes and dump Richards to a playoff team who needs a center

I just think the Suns should do nothing until the deadline
See what teams will overpay for Richards
See if Royce or Grayson can have ANY value that you can get a 2nd round pick and a contract that expires a year earlier

For what Shams said in the article we are offering to Kuminga a $90M/4 years contract with a player option un the final year.

I am totally fine with that offer. It's $22.5M per year, that's fair money for a player with his potential.

The GSW are offering him $45M/2 years but with less guaranteed money and they aren't giving him a big role or any player option.

Obviously Kuminga wants to sign with the Suns and I think the GSW would need to get our offer. Allen + Richards + two 2nds is fine because they need another perimeter role player and some help at C.

Yeah, they are gonna sign Horford but he is super old and they need another big + him.

IDK...I think our offer is fair for a sign&trade. If they "hate" Allen we can someway trade O'Neale + Richards + someone else if the salaries work.

I wouldn't trade Dunn at all. No way and I am pretty sure that we aren't putting his name out there. We didn't put him on the market for Butlerlast year, even less this season for Kuminga.

Allen and Richards is $22m going out . The most the Warriors can take back is $13m because of the BYC rules. So for the Suns to make a trade with the Warriors - it would be Royce and Oso. The Warriors probably want Royce and Dunn. But because the Suns have 22m coming in and only 13m going out - that could push them above the first apron - I think they are about 8 to 9m away from that. Granted, Richards can get them back under apron levels

Granted, my numbers can be slightly off about what can go out. Like I think Dunn and Royce would work -- but the Suns should keep Dunn. The premise is the same - its not dollar for dollar like other trades.

under no conditions do you include Dunn in any trade. Kuminga isnt worth $90 million. he isnt the type of player that the Suns say they want the identity of the team to be.

Dunn showed offensive improvement in SL. At his salary including him in a Kuminga trade would be so stupid.

If that's the case the GSW should accept O'Neale +Richards + two 2nds for Kuminga.

It’s a fair offer and O'Neale can really help them. A couple of 2nds are always a nice addition and Richards would given then depth at PF/C.

We would improve our roster and our chances for the next few years with Kuminga on the roster. At that salary I doubt he would be a bad contract because $22.5M is not a big gamble for a player like him.

We will see. Kuminga can wait until 1st Oct and sign the QO. That's the most possible outcome IMO.

Warriors are under no obligation to make a bad trade. O'Neale isn't the best contract. Neither is Allen.
I think Richards would be of interest but that pushes their value to $15m -- so that means Kuminga I think would go to around $25m

O'Neale and Oso + 2nd for Kuminga S&T

Sign me up! I would do that in a heart beat, especially keeping Allen and letting Allen and Brooks be pests.

Booker / Westbrook / Gillespie
Green / Allen / Butler / Brea
Brooks / Dunn / Hayes-Davis
Kuminga / Dunn / Hayes-Davis / Fleming
Williams / Richards / Maluach

That is a fun , young team. I would be excited for that roster leading into the season. Sign Westbrook for MLE & 6th man

Allen + O'Neale + Oso for Kuminga and that's all.

We need to keep Richards because Williams is very injury prone and Maluach is not an nba level player (yet).

Also keep Dunn because we need his size and defense.

If my knowledge of how the contract with Kuminga needs to be with the base year compensation - that would put Kuminga at 22m in year one.. Which seems reasonable. I would be fine with Royce and Oso...

3+1 (option - probably player in case JK outplays his deal he might want the leverage.
